No, I dont like dictatorship of any kind and you describe this as a place where one persons set rules and others just obbey. For me a forum is always a place to share opinions and communicate and it always implies both directions and of course liberty and equality. If not it can be a different thing but not a forum.
Very strange in a country where people are supposed to love liberty.

vaporeta, can I ask you something? You joined ecf at 2009 and for 3 years you had made 19 posts. Then, from a huge forum like ecf you "suddenly" picked GG forum to post. And you also started with a not so friendly post. And you managed in 1 day to make your posts 33, that is almost double your first number of posts. All these seems a little strange to me. Now this is just boring. In serbian forums (all, not just ecig) this kind of thread would be long time ago locked or recycled.

It is ok to exchange opinions, it is ok to elaborate, but going round in circles is just pointless.

Agree to disagree and stop it finally. Some people hate copy's, some are indiferent, some love them. Nothing we say or do will change otherone's opinion.

Vaporeta - freedom of speach is limited in so many area's of life. Same thing is on forum, the "authorities" have their own right to cut it at one point.

Others - you are not helping by trying to show someone something you think is their mistake, just puting oil to the fire.

P.S. Freedom of speach is invention for stupid people, the fact is that there are right and wrong standpoints, also that people trully are not intelectualy equal. FOS most of the time is used so does with lower capabilities have feeling that they are equal with the one intelectualy superior.

In Serbia we have one saying - "opinion is like ..., everyone has one".

P.S.S. My opinion about FOS is not written as perfid message to anyone, it trully is just opinion about that matter, no arrows thrown.

Funny thing when despite you consider this question so boring you lost yur time writing about it.
Of course in some forums this opinions would have been deleted and surely if we were in Alice in wonderland the queen of hearts would have told her soldiers to cut my head, but we aren´t. And I can imagine what would happen if we were in the Third Reich, but fortunately we aren´t either.
I don´t know what happens in Serbian forums as i don´t read them but in the ones I use to read and write they don´t delete opinions for being different fortunately.
I don´t think discussions are a question of convincing the others. The most important thing is to exchange opinions because they always enrich everybody.

Of course. I don´t mind explaining it though it could be considered a personal question and I don´t think has nothing to do with all this discussion.
I stopped smoking an started vaping at the end of 2009. I remember that in that time vaping stuff was terrible and vaping was very difficult. I´m talking about a time where we only had attos, not even cartos and we had to buy everything in China. When I began vaping I read a lot of forums also this one. I registered and I supposed I asked some questions but I used to write in a different forum in my country. On a few months, unfortunately, I came back to tobacco and I stopped vaping.
I came back to vaping not very long ago and I entered this GG forum because I was interested in buying a GG Penelope (I told it in my first message) and a read somebody in my country forum talking about Nautilus and making reference to this forum. I have written a lo of messages because this discussion have been interesting and strange for me, that´s all
Nothing strange of other kind.

You don't have any clue about FOS or totalitarian conduct. You just know to be born in your freedom and talk with people with paroles.

I'm born in country where we needed to fight for our freedoms, not just verbally but on the streets also.

Besides that, you are up against wrong guy to talk about anything politicaly related, so freedom and FOS too.

Lets just say that my field of expertis is political theory, especally Republicanism political tought of Hannah Arendt. Also Moska and Paretos view on masses and democracy, than federalism etc. If you know what I am talking about than you know who you have on other side to debate about freedoms.

If that is.not.enough, try John Rols or Amartia Sen about justice topics etc.

So I hate when people speak like on political stage, give us slogans and repeat them, without knowing the true meaning or value of them.

Want to know about freedoms and it's limits? Instead of debating aboit Ody copy and "unfair" GG forum moderation, try reading works of Socrates, Plato and Arisistotel, Cicero, Saint Augustin or Thomas Aquinski, continue with Thomas Hobes, John Lock, Jean Jack Ruseau, Montesque, John Stewart Mill, try with Thomas Pein, Hamilton etc. You can learn a lot also from Mark Twains memoires.

Maybe philosophy, starting with Kant, and than go with Rene Decart, Humbolt, Hume, Sopenhauer, Spinosa, Openhaimer...

Maybe USA classic such as Noam Chomsky? Etc, etc.

Point - I can go like this same as you can tune with your story. Bit the fact is that there are rules in every society, on forums also. I´m really impressed for having aroused your interest at the point of loosing your precious time writing such a long message just dedicated to me, despite you consider me just a simple troll. I appreciate it.
But to tell the truth I can´t say I am so impresed by the content. The real thing is that I´m never impressed with the kind of people that need to give a list of authors when trying to impress the "audience". Good try but I´m not impressed at all and of course Im not going to give you a list.

You and I are at a crossroads my friend. I have spent entirely too much energy with trying to make reason for you. You cannot teach reason to an unreasonable man. There is no dictatorship here. There is no country here. There are really no politics here. The only ones are the ones you brought with you. There is only a place where friends come to talk about GG. Some people just don't get that.......and they never will.

Liberty and Equality are fine ideas and ones which I believe we all strive for, but what in Hades does that have to do with GG? If I want to play debate with a person on these ideas..... I will find a forum that specializes in them. Not here!

Here is just food for thought and maybe I will get flamed and maybe this will strike you exactly as I intend it too. I am not trying to be hateful by any means.

Maybe if you would quit discontinuing items once you come out with the "latest and greatest?" things people would not have o go get copies nor would the copies be given much thought.

You discontinued the AVS and brought the iAtty well there were people that did not like that and I know of some that looked into the cost of machining them at their local shops in SS.

The UFS came along and people where still wanting the AVS and you did not do anything. Then the people that loved the UFS and then ones that learned to like it had the Odysseus. You did finally make more UFS but that took a lot of people telling that they would go just short of selling their souls for one.

Now you have the Achilles and Ithaca that will take months and months to produce and no Odysseus will be made?

You have far more demand than product and you wonder why you get copied?
Maybe you should step back and really look at what your customers want.

I for one hate waiting months and months on parts or devices to come available. I hate that devices and items you make get shelved for something that is not even available yet.

I do love your work but you make it hard on some people by chasing shooting stars while the rest of us wait for your return.

Maybe you need to rethink the line "I only care for my customers." You do have good customer service but you do lack in the supplying the demand department.

And IMO if you decide not to honor your warranty any more I feel more people would not buy the GG products at the current price.

It's the process, kind of like an artist, they for what ever reason are DRIVEN to create. It just so happens that Imeo creates useful things. And he is driven to keep revising or completely change directions to make those things beautiful and even more useful than before.

You miss the point, the void he creates with lack of product over his making new stuff is what allows the knock offs. They see that there is a dollar to be made in his products absence and shoot for it.

The CNC shop has the specs to mill the parts it is merely a phone call to start a new run while in the mean time he develops new stuff.

I can understand that he is driven to make new things and better thing but for some they feel that he already has the best if they can only get it.

Like I said in the previous post he can have things being made and be working on new as at the same time. It is not like he it machining all of this by hand, the CNC shop gets paid for that.

True thugs will be there to steal someone elses design, so is life. But it is called capatalistic economy for a reason, if Imeo will not keep products on the shelf, no matter how great they are, then he can hardly cry foul when someone else copies, markets and sells his design to the masses.
