The double wick method works for me. So far no leaking issue for me unless I open my juice control too much.

* 2 x 2mm wick on the top of the ceramic is fine but will have trouble for the side groove of the ceramic. I just debraid 1 of the wick to make it 1mm so the wick on the side of the ceramic will not get 'cut' so much by the upper connection ring nut and the base.

hahaha @ Oring flavor, Rick. I was having a leaking issue, too, which was really starting to frustrate me... seemingly since I changed my ceramic. < that part may be my imagination/reasoning because it's the only thing I know of that changed. Anyway, I tried the double wick earlier with no good result and then tried the NR wire on the outside of the wick and that seems to have taken care of it. We'll see when I go in for a refill. I hope that gets it.

In other notes, I cannot possible consider moving onto beastier modes until I have at least short mode down. My expansion kit is still in the baggies. I am terribly fond of m'Ody even if I have wanted to fling it across the room a couple of times because the leaking eludes me.

Oh! OT, but something I've been meaning to ask (and not threadworthy) - I have a really hard time unscrewing the main part of the tube from the base. I have vaselined the oring, etc, and it is tight regardless! It usually takes me about 45 - 60 s. of gripping and threatening to finally get it to give. Anything I can do to make that easier?

I am stumped by all the reports of leaking.

The only leak probs I have encountered is when I forget to close off the air control before filling and it results from the air pressure pushing fluid between the bottom of juice control/mouthpiece and the housing locking ring, when putting back on the top caps.

The fluid floods the ceramic and down the air channel of the connector post.

Other than the connector post air channel or a bad seal of the bottom connector post o-ring, the system is sealed off.

Where else could it possibly leak from?

After initial success (read: before a refill) I had good success with the O-ring method in large mode. Since that first initial use though, I can't seem to knock out the leakage in large mode and am back to small mode for now.

It has been one helluva week and I haven't been able to spend any meaningful time out of bed so experimentation has lacked severely. I have no doubt that one of our team of McGuvyer type vapers will offer up a solution in short order!

Major, I've given up on big mode for now. I've spent several hours tinkering with it, with no luck. It's frustrated me enough to need to walk away from it. The solution will present itself it's only a matter of time. Until then I will vape on my small modes. Just so you know, I've fired more nextel last night :) Woo Hoo fresh new hardened wick

put a smaller o-ring between base and body critter. The o-ring is 17x1,5 so please put a 16x1,5 or 15x1,5

Put wire inside the big ring and inside the base, double the wick and cut the wick 1-2 mm before it reaches the base of the ceramic Rick and Valsa

Hmm I used the wire on the outside of the wick not going between the nut and the base imeo recommends and I put a 14x1.5 o-ring on the outside where the nut meets the base. I am also using the Nextel XC 116 wick and the only leaking I have is if I leave the juice controll to open and don't vape for a while. If I am going to not vape I just close juice controll and it isn't an issue. I do however find once my tank gets to about half full I have to be more carefull about leaving the juice controll open because it seems to run through quicker then.

I have this same problem in big mode - no leaking until juice level gets low. Kinda makes no sense to me though and it boggles my tiny little brain. I've just gone back to short mode to solve the problem.

I had excessive leaking this morning coming from the center pin in big mode. I had put a new coil and wick on last night. I have been using the same set up with two pieces of wick without putting them in the channels, successfully. However it would not stop leaking. I lost an entire tank of juice on the ride into work. ( good thing I had a bunch of napkins) . Pulled it apart a couple of times and finally figured it out. The wick was placed in the cup vertically allowing the juice room to flow. I removed wick and coil and repositioned it with the with horizontally so the two pieces of wick would completely fill the gap coming out of the cup. No more leaks.

Made up this coil with looped wick. Much like the old ce2. Put single piece of wick down each chanel leaving loops exposed inside of tank. So far so good.

Edit: prooved to be to much wick imo, no leaks but poor vapor.

Went back to using two pieces, but made sure wick was pushed down into slots on each side.

I've tried a bunch of things, and here's the mystery to me... It worked for a week straight before it started this. I've even had a "mystery" leak in small mode... identical in nature to the big mode occurance. I made another new wick, replaced the first new one, and it doesn't leak anymore.

I have noticed if I blow into the atomizer to clear any flooding, that even with the cone closed mine blows air into the tank, which then compounds the problem, as I've just pressurized the system and hence more leaking. So no blowing into mine.

For the life of me I cannot figure this one out. It's only leaked once in small mode. I can't stop it from leaking in large mode. Small mode just perks along... (with the recent exception which was an isolated occurance)

Oh and I like the wire trick Imeo! It haven't tested it in big mode, but I think (strangely) It has actually improved the connection... mine seems to hit even harder with the wire in the base. :)
