Hey guys, I bought an Odysseues at Vapebash. I didn't bother messing with it until I got home, but I've built a few coils and have experimented with it a bit, but I'm having trouble with the threads. It doesn't screw into any mod correctly, it feels like its binding after about a half a turn. The only thing I can get it to thread into is a 510-510 adapter, then I can put that on a mod.

I've tried it on two silver bullets, a helix, two provari's, a meucci moochie, a megalodon and a VVV. It won't screw into any of them without the adapter.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Alright, I disassembled the whole thing and the base will only screw in about a half turn. When I put the center in, it screws in until it bottoms out in the ody base, but doesn't seem to be making contact with the center pin of the mod. I tried the same thing with identical results on three different mods. Any other ideas? Or is it time to email the big guy?

If the base doesn't screw in by itself, then it definitely sounds like the threads between the base and your mod aren't matching right. It could be something as simple as a small burr on the threads. If you have an extra adapter kicking around, try screwing the Ody base onto and off of that several times. That will help clean up any imperfections on the threads or any debris that may be lodged in there. I suggest using an adapter since they're cheap and it's no big loss if you muck up the threads on it. I've run into similar scenarios with a couple of attys in the past and working the threads a bit like that solved my issues
