Thanks for the welcomes! I'm thinking about getting in on that contest, but I never could write a decent Haiku.
Wow, I'm not anywhere near getting a red name, am I? LOL
KD!! Hope you are doing well.I say we take the forums back over. I'm sick and tired of coming in here and seeing all the whining and complaining about everything. If you have a question the first thing you should do is search for it. The second thing you should do is search for it in good site search. Then if all else fails ask in here.
I have to say this is the first forum I've ever seen that actually encourages people NOT to ask a question if they can't find the answer by using the search feature.
Thank you Ragamuffin! I couldn't have said it better. I started posted here in February, and I think this has been a friendly, helpful, place for the most part. I disagree with the "old-timers" "dissing" this forum. This forum has been helpful to me, and I hope I have been helpful to others. If you are starting to vape, you have many questions. I, myself, do not like members being rude to new-comers. It is usually faster and nicer to just answer a question than to find where the answer appeared in the past and post a link to it.
I know friendships have been made here, and I know people have moved on, either to different forums, or just because all their questions have been answered. I don't think Steve sees this forum as only a social gathering, but rather as a place to be helpful to people who are trying to stop smoking.![]()
With everyone trying to improve the attitude and having a contest and people coming back to cheer the place up I think that we could take a break from the complaining and insulting for a bit.It works much better if you try to help people instead of hurt people.Dont worry so much what other people are doing, look at your own behavior and how you react.Just try to be nice.Give it a try.
I agree completely. Unfortunately, the search feature on this forum is not very good. It just doesn't do a good job, no one's fault really. And then of course, sometimes you just have a question you can't seem to find an answer to, and since this is a forum, people just feel that they should be able to ask a question without being chastised and made to feel stupid with numerous posts from "veterans".
When I first started to come here, the V4L sub-forum became my first stop before I ordered any products or had any questions. Now it's the last. And then of course, that means I sometimes miss the sales, and V4L misses the sale. But I grew weary of wading through page after page of posts by members who were permitted to be rude and insulting to other members, just to find the answer to a question. And they were actually encouraged to be that way, while other members encouraged posters to not be so "dumb". So I go elsewhere now to see whats on sale.

Plus, things werent so easy when some of us started and it took some reading and research to figure things out.Sometimes we think you should earn it a little.READ and make an effort. It sounds kinda mean, but its not.Its about learning and trying things and experimenting.New things dont happen if you dont.Even new people can contribute. The Taryn spin didnt come from a veteran.I miss Taryn.
I totally agree with every word of your post. For some reason, V4L doesn't seem to care how its new or potential customers are treated on this forum. The opening post of this thread is incredibly insulting and discouraging to newcomers.
Can anyone help me? What is a cartomizer?
