I think there are at least 2 reasons why the same questions are posted over and over.

1. New vapers are New and have many of the same "Starter" questions. I know I did! There are new vapors on here every day if not every hour. Remember, power in #'s! Somewhere down the road this may help all us Vapers!

2. The time factor in searching a topic. It's faster and easier to post a question.

So anyone new to vaping, post your question and we'll try our best to answer it! :)

I'll just add this. I am 53 years old. I am computer literate (BA Computer Science), but have never been a member of a forum before, so I don't know about any of the social conventions, whats a dumb question and what isn't, search functions, smiley/frowny/flame things... I used to recommended this sub-forum to all the people who have asked me about my e-cig (remember my friends are my age) but after last week I've started sending them to the beginners forum instead. The last thing that I want my friend to be, is insulted in a place that I sent them to. I do appreciate that its a pain for you old timers to be answering the same questions over and over. Why not a beginners forum for V4L? I spend some time every day on the ECF beginners forum answering questions. I do this because it is a way to thank the universe for all the patient, kind, generous answers that others have posted. Those answers were a big part of why I am seven weeks tobacco free today. I would be more than glad to answer questions on a V4L newcomers forum.:2c:

The sticky could have a title such as "WELCOME TO V4L! Beginners Please Ask Questions Here." ...
Or something a little more catchy, there are a lot of creative people here.

It needs to be obvious on the page (Maybe in red). Web pages that have a lot of info can be kind of confusing if your not used to them, or your nic level is too high or too low.:D

You could also put Birdy's excellent "V4L User Guide" on it.

Personally, I have never minded answering "stupid questions" because we all had to start somewhere, right? Birdy's V4L guide is really good basic info for beginners, it might be a good thing to sticky then if you don't want to answer questions, just say something like:

"Welcome to V4L! You might want to start off by reading this thread, it has lots of great info for newcomers!" http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/58027-vaporking-user-guide.html

I think it is really important to be responsive and welcoming to people new here - that is what this board is all about. We can have fun too, harass Born and each other, but I guess I always think the major thing is to help get people off the cigs and on to something so much better. If it means answering the same question for the 100th time, its ok - we can take turns... :) Just my .02 cents worth.

Okay. I figured I'd post as well. I rarely come here much anymore. I've found other places to be my weird self. I'm glad to see everyone is doing well and that V4L continues to grow and prosper. V4L did get me off cigs and as my 1st pv experience will always have a place in my far healthier (because of not smoking) heart.

Cheers to all the oldtimers and congrats to all the newcomers for making the choice to start vaping.

Well I'll say hi to, I haven't been in her for quite a while either, but if it was'ent for V4L and Steve I would most likely be still smoking anlogs, as many have said the family feeling kind of left, hope it come's back. I think the idea of a question and answer's thread for nubie's is a great idea as I know I had plenty of questions when I started vapeing and they were questions for V4L not some other brand, heck I still have a question now and then, so the new vapers do need help.

JJ, can we take turns harassing people, too? :D

Hey, JD--great to hear from you. You too, Jean. And Landlocked, Rocks, and all you other cool, crazy old-timer cats. Like a family reunion around here.
