okay, let me first apologize for .....ing and moaning on this thread about it taking 3 weeks to break in for me. my first hh357 is a short barrel custom specified for 50vg/50pg(i actually vape 60/40 & 70/30)

well....it burnt up in my pocket when i was hiking this weekend. i forgot to lock the fire button and didn't turn it off until it started burning my thigh. it looked ruined and was full of back crud.

today, i gently dug out the black crud, gave it a couple of washes with rubbing alcohol, & did the 7 drop short puff thing and it still tasted burnt. i refilled again with 7 drops and let it sit. when i got home tonight, i tried it again and it's back to being splendidly tasty.

i was a believer, but now it's really got me good.

not at all... it's merely sizzling as the heat gradually reduces.
that's a good story about the resilience of these things... they are known for that with many.

I got my order... a standard size v1 2.5 ohms... surprise surprise, i got a V2 with a smiley face on my receipt. it's 2.4ohms but im happy as hell. I've been using it for about 5 hours now. Bad ... atty paired with my GSV stainless steel DT!

I just got my first 357 a few days ago...how often should I clean it...it costs so much, I'm afriad to clean it and afriad not to clean it. What is PGA? I use mine on a Reo grand and I'm also dealing wth juice in the mouth, often.

I clean once a week, that's when it starts getting a bit gunked up for me. Soak in vodka (see vid) and be sure to only blow from the connector side. You can clean every few days without harm as far as i know...

Juice in mouth is 1. too much juice in atty which is a sub par vape 2. bad d/t... a pyrex is best (trippy tips best of pyrex)

PGA is pure grain alcohol ... which i cant get here in Hawaii so far.

in my experience with HH 357's they have been famously dead on... curious. 1.7 for a 2.5...

i have been vaping on a 2.0 longbarrel hh.357, on my Provari at 4.0 volts. for about a month and a half , did regular cleanings with pure grain alcohol, vape production was great, and flavor too. about three days ago i notice very hot vape , so i checked the ohms of this atty, after cleaning it was 1.5 , now had to lower voltage to 3.7. good for a few days, last night at work, i cleaned it again , put in 6 drops, low vape production, added 2 more drps. , still low production......then i decided to lower the voltage even more, to 3.2, and that did the trick, back to plumes of vape.......now i'm confussed, is this atty on its way out?. i dont hear any crackleing going on while vapeing anymore..
Any ideas people?

If you are asking me, I'd say yes, it's on its way out.

In my expeerience atty will go up in resistance with age, gunk buildup. But regardless and changes are a sign imo.

I have never had one work for me longer than a few weeks. I clean once a week and keep the voltage consistently within proper range to not overheat it.
If anything, mine may suffer from getting a few dry burns because i try not to over feed in order to get the best vape.

When mine die, they just stop working

Just ordered my first hh.357s! One custom 901 pg/vg version @ 2.5 ohms, and a regular long barrel 510 @ 2.5 ohms. I'm can't wait for them to arrive! The two week lead time for the 901 is going to drive me crazy!

Out of curiosity, what's the difference between the V1 and V2 specs? What was changed? I've done a fair bit of googleing and can't seem to find an answer.

In my experience gunk on the coil will bring the resistance down. Over-zealously trying to clean the coils could also lead you to have two coil wraps touching which would understandably bring your resistance down.

I can tell the coil is still working since its reading 2.1 and the atty will still get hot, but I get absolutely NO vapor from it...cleaning made no difference either.

Using on a Reo Grand with AW IMR 2000's...

I had a similar issue as Santo when I first got my 3ohm long barrel. Emailed Hanna and he took care of me without issue and has since been vaping very well. I'm guessing Hanna is a pretty busy guy and it was about a two week turnaround but no complaints from me as I said it now works as advertised and I'm pleased with it.

Check if the connector on the atty is not pushed inside
