I know when I need to put more drips into mine since the 357 has a slight bubbling/gurgle noise when you start to inhale. If it isnt there, I juice up. It is a good indicator.
yeah I remember the vid Hanna put up about how to start up with getting some gurgling and knowing the wicking area is full and then taking a hard enough pull to get the juice to the coil.....I know when I need to put more drips into mine since the 357 has a slight bubbling/gurgle noise when you start to inhale. If it isnt there, I juice up. It is a good indicator.
Excellent points- I would say I like to come here just to talk about my favorite atty, not necessarily for problems and such. With the exception of earlier in the thread where I was having the SB HH not really performing great, and got some tips.Quote: """dDub
I hate having to wait so long for the next post in here, like there has to be way more 357 users, why aren't they in this thread talking with me??
I would try a pyrex tip, but generally don't like how they look. I like a nice streamlined look. Like right now I have a blue aluminum whistle tip, I don't really mind taking it off to drip. I also don't like the huge wide mouth tips, they feel too airy. I want to get some t tips from super t manuf, they look like super quality, with a supposedly huge drip hole. The whistle tip drip version looks sweet. Although I generally prefer acrylic or Deleon tops, the long barrel and metal tips works for me."""
I know lots of vapers that are on other threads all the time and they love 357's.
For me it's been a game changer after 2 years of dripping and not being satisfied with the flavor and vapor.
It's no longer about the APV because that is just a power delivery device; the main factor is the atomizer (or carto or tank or rebuildable atty).
The best, most expensive APV teamed with a conventional atomizer will or even the rebuildables, imo will not be as good.
I believe it's a matter of 3 things; why there's not more posts here.
1. cost... $
2. They're just so good, that those that love them will not worry about 'em and just go have fun with other items on the ecf
3. Dripping is not the easiest thing to master, and i think it takes some skill to get used to, and the 357 is a little different too. Telling a newb to get a 357 is something i do only after they have spent some time learning the art.
I love the point about it not being about the PV- I think that is so true. So many threads are about 'what is the best PV'- as long as they hold a battery, have a switch to activate said battery, and hold your atty/carto/whatever, its all the same. Its the atty/carto that makes it good or bad.
My guess would be that since your so particular about keeping a minimum level of juice in your atty, an atty tank might not work the way you want it. From what I understand, you don't really have much control of how much juice is allowed into the atty. I would think that it would run more on the flooded-side, but I'm not sure. There is a reactor tank I think its called- umm trying to remember where I saw it. Oh I think it was Nhaler?
I have a question, and not trying to sound like a ...., but why don't you just drip more? Lol I notice the taste dropping off a few puffs before I get even a slightly dry puff, so at that point I would add 2-3 more. I have squeezed the bottle too hard and added 5 before, and it still works great(for me at least).
Juice control; Yeah, but i'm game for anything that Hanna puts out from here on. Good point though.
I usually find that the best vapes are just before it runs too low.
Just a tad "too much" and vapor's a bit scrawny and juice coming up with the vaper.
I'd wager if i reviewed his technique vid again I'd get some good results.
Agree on the just before low is the best, one of the things you have to master for longevity.
I know I've hyped the Universal drip tip already and should really stop, but with one on you can flood the crap out of the HH.357, take a huge long drag until vapor is formed, all without any juice in your mouth. It's HH.357 vaping for Dummies. I've got 2 going from Feb/Mar, all I use, still vaping great.
Is the Univ d/t available from Avid or ?

I'm very new to all of this, but I find when there is 'too much' juice I just draw lightly so very little actually comes out of the packing into the coil
Then as the juice level gets low I dry suck (no button, split second) before vaping and then switch to fast, hard drags as Hanna describes in the video
When there is no gurgle at all on a dry suck, or the last hit tasted a bit like ...well..not my juice, but not bone dry...then I drip (note the last hit before I drip for me is usually a plume of vapor, but the *taste* is off)
Evens out the vape and makes it consistent for me from first to last in a given drip cycle. The ability to influence juice flow with your drag on these things is probably my favorite feature of them, but when I first started using them it was a nightmare lol
