bw, when i pulled out the HH 1.5 901 tonite, i tried to put the Avidvapor "open" short (low profile) adapter on for the Reo Mini.... it didn't thread.
I thought; is it the adapter or the atty?
Turns out it's the atty... I tried another standard 510 to 901 adapter; nope same thing. Dang.

Same thing happened to me with the Avid stealth adapter. It worked great on other 901's but would not thread onto either the 357 or the Cisco. I left it for a few days and was using an adapter I got from Empire, then finally out of frustration with it, I tried the Avid stealth adapter once again on the 357. It was still a little stiff and would not thread past one turn, but I thought to hell with caution and I just forced it through. It did end up threading on just fine after a couple times on/off. Same exact experience with the Cisco 901. I find it odd that the Avid adapter fits perfect right outta the box on everything except the Cisco and 357 901's. Moral of the story, sometimes you have to push a little harder than you thought.

dang hildi, it seems we have the same things all around... heheh.
In my case the Iken stealth closed adapter fit the HH 901 while their own (Avid) adapter didn't; not yet anyway.

Funny thing about the HH 1.5 LB I think i just about give up on using it on the Reo Mini.... it vapes like a SR with no ooomph... i put it on an eGo p/t and boom! wth, i usually drip on these monsters anyway, being the Reo Mini 3ml bottle is so small anyway... a few vapes and it's half empty... heheh :)

I have the 901 HH 1.5 on a VV at low low voltage. The regulated power is the way to go with these imo.

That's my impression so far... 1.5's are not like conventional which are very hot in my experience.

gotta say the Cisco LR 1.8 901 is hitting like a 1.5... i have vodka cleaned it and it's on the Reo..... boom.

HELP!!!! Just received my 357 510 1.5 atomizer and just not getting the flavor or vapor that I have seen on YouTube? I'am using a ego passthrough. I have done everything they said to do! Can someone help me? Thanks Darrin

There is a break in period, so how much to compare to YouTube is subjective. How long have you had it? Are you at least getting what you get with a 306 1.5 on and ego passthru? Try loosening and or tightening (not too much) the atomizer on the battery to make sure you are getting a good connection.

Can you meter the atomizer?

it takes some break-in time.... don't sweat it is my advice. These don't act like a 1.5 Ohm atty imo. They do get hot if you don't have enough juice in them, but they take a little finesse. I had to learn what was the right amount of juice to put... too much will reduce the vapor a lot and too little will fire that coil red as hell.
I put just enough that the coil doesn't burn red and not so much that it's too gurgley.
I'd meter it to make sure... i couldn't believe mine was 1.5 but it was. It acts like a much higher resistance.

btw, i ordered a Long Barrel just because many folks were saying it spit all the time and the long barrel would help with that.... mine doesn't spit at all... just don't put too much juice in.

The hole reason I bought this was for my new REO woodvil 18490 so I would have a good atomizer? Could you let me know what a good atomizer would be for my reo bottom feed mod? Sounds like I will be flooding this thing out and having a mouth full of juice! Thanks for your help!!!!! Darrin

Not to worry. The 357 should be fantastic on your Reo, but it may take a bit of getting used to. Keep at it, give it a day or two to break in, and for you to get used to the squonk technique and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I got my mini a couple weeks ago, and after working on my squonking for about a week with a cisco 306 and then an aero bridgeless 510 I was brave enough to whip out a 357. magic.

in my experience the hh357 1.5 does NOT vape as hot as one would expect if one used a conventional 1.5 atomizer (hot stuff)... the heat is transformed somehow so that you get FLAVOR, not scorched.
my trouble with it on the Reo Mini is i don't get exactly the right amount of voltage... and that can be due to different factors, not a general rule...
I like just about anything LR on the Reo Mini...
A cisco LR 1.8 901 is killer; it vapes hotter than i thought it would which is good 'cause it's not a 1.5... i think i'll try one of those too though.
The Cisco LR 1.8 gives a better flavor and vapor than many "good" attys... imo.

So far I have had the .357 long and short attys, both at 1.5 ohms and they have worked great for me.The short died at 4 months and the long is still going strong at 5 months of use.For me they have been well worth their asking price because of the length of time they lasted and the great performance they had right till the end.A few days ago I ordered a custom 901 .357 in stainless at 3 ohms and can't wait to try out to see how good the flavor is.

Could anyone testify that the 901 .357 is any better than a SLB 901?

I will let you know how they compare once I get mine broke in and vaping 100%.I use a bunch of quality 801's and 901's in my daily rotation and will post my honest opinion on the .357 901 after I use it for a while.Later.
