Andrew,

I have not been on the boards lately, so I have been out of the loop. I just wanted to take the time to congratulate you on your success. It's been a pleasure to deal with you in the past. You by far have the best prices and have always been prompt with my orders. I look forward to placing another order tomorrow.

Hi Andrew and everybody. I have a question but first I want to say I love CCV and have enjoyed talking to Andrew. We have spoken a couple of times...great to deal with and great sense of humor. Customer service is over the top.
My question: I ordered the C.C.V. Mega LR 1.7 Resurrectors and liked them so much I ordered the three box deal. I love them but they seem to get hot very quickly even when I first use them. I use a box mod and a Silver Diamond tube mod...both 3.7. The box uses one 14500 battery and the tube mod uses one 18650. Any suggestions and does it hurt for them to be hot? I let them cool off for awhile because they do get hot enough to burn my finger if touched. I'm pretty new to vaping and wonder if I'm doing something wrong. I do tend to chain vape so maybe you're not supposed to with these. They perform wonderfully otherwise...great TH and vapor.

Hi Turtle,

I was just thinking about trying my tanks again...but they leak so bad, they're a PITA!
I think I will get one of the CCV tanks. Andrew said his don't leak.
Thanks for tip and the link.

The SmokTech tanks that CCV sells are very good! Easy to fill, no leaks. And CCV has the 1.7 ST carto pre-punched all ready for the tanks.

Karen, I've used them on my Egos and on my Bolts and Rough Stacks. They don't seem to get hot, not even warm. But I am using 4 Egos at a time in rotation with the Bolts.

I'm more of a sweet tooth vaper myself(caramelscotch, vanilla custard, sweet apple pie, caramel cap)but I do enjoy a nice sweet tabacco vape here and there(RY4,sweet triple 5),and I have to tell you the black & mild is a very very good unique tabacco vape that is 1 of it's own. Theirs NOTHING out there like it that I've EVER tasted yet to date. It is extreemely good vape. I recommend every person who vapes and likes a nice tabacco vape must try it atleast once, and I would put the Pepsi challenge on it that they order a 2nd bottle. Do yourself a favor and order some. Hope this help ya Sam. Take care brotha. .......J
Sure does help! Thanks!

I got 1 of Andrews polished aluminum tanks ....awesome!......and at least 10 bucks cheaper than anything else out there of the same quality(I own some of them too)

I believe the ST is 1.5 ohm but I haven't checked it. so I may be wrong

Okay, been out of the loop for a while, so, forgive my ignorance for the following inquiry.

Are there, aside of dual coil (hate 'em), any other cartomizers that will fit into the DCT? I realize and regret, that if there are, they will lack the very handy, built-in platform at the end of each carto. But, I am curious to see if another brand (aside of SmokTek) will absorb this VG juice I have better, or not.

Yes, I realize I need to saturate the living hell out of the carto, and believe me, I am. Alas, I am already on the 4th carto in my pack and I have only been able to get one (the first) to function at an optimal and satisfactory level. To save everyone the history of my personal failures let us just jump to #4 (current carto) and I will explain what I have done.

I used a method that I am sure many are familiar with; the "Cartomizerfillanator", or, a needle-less syringe attached to a carto condom as an easier and quicker method of filling cartos. I repeatedly filled and emptied the syringe, very slowly, for approximately 10 minutes. Also, I used a syringe to "prime" the filler, but, I was extremely careful not to push the filler down too much (as I did with carto #3  ). I even stabbed the holes that I made (2, and they're large) with the syringe and added some juice through there as well. After all of this, I felt the carto should be saturated, or well on its way (damn close, I am thinking).

Unfortunately, I am still forced to suck extremely hard, and many times just to see any bubbles rise to the top. Of course, it is working, but with such magnitude of effort that I find it easier to just top it off like in the ole days.

I do not wish to dilute my juice as I know it is 100% possible to get it to function without doing so (carto #1 was pure bliss).

So, Andrew, friends, does anyone know of any other carto that will work in this nifty device? Yes, I appear the lonely type writing out a novel for a simple question. Brevity was never a strong quality of mine.

TLTR (too long to read, for those who are not aware of this acronym)

Want to try another carto out, aside of smoketek and dual coil (must fit in dual coil tank). Suggestions?

CCV has single coiled 1.7 ohm cartos with the flange at the bottom. They're called resurrectors.

Really good cartos, btw.

The answer is yes, any carto that is at least as long as the ST DCC will fit in the ST DCT. But this thread is for Andrew's products. So I wouldn't specify other brands here without Andrew's blessing.

Whoops, guess I should have specified. If I'm not mistaken (which I could be?) aren't the resurrectors made by SmokeTek?

They are, single coil and awesome.

I use many different juices, some all PG and some all VG, and I use the same method for filling cartos for my tanks in all cases. I call it the enhanced condom.

Get yourself some nippled condoms. The Resurrectors don't come with them, so I keep some from other brands and wash them after each use. Remove the condoms that come on the carto, and also the insert on the mouth end. Fill the condom 3/4 with juice, all the way past the nipple. Push the Resurrector down into the condom 3/4 of the way into the juice and stop. The nipple has entered the center and will prevent juice from entering it. Wait a minute at most (possibly two for 100% VG) for the juice to be drawn in to the fill. Push the cart the remaining 1/4 to the bottom and put it on its side. Roll it under your finger for another minute so that the remaining juice is sucked in. When you no longer see juice at the end, take off the condom, wipe the end and vape. It has never taken me more than 5 minutes to fill a Resurrector with this method, and I have never had a single taste issue or burnt carto. I have also NEVER had a leak, or juice come out the connector end.

These things are amazing. Keep trying and you will find the method that works for you like I did.

Cheers.

Thanks Riverwolf..I think I will get one of Andrews smaller tanks since I change juice a few times a day.

Bozzlite, I haven't tried the Resurrectors on my Ego...good idea, will have to give it a try.

But I did discover a reason the cartos were getting hot....they weren't filled all the way. I read they need to be filled up to look slushy and I had mine only filled halfway.:facepalm:They get only slightly warm when they start out full.
Working great now! :)
