The camera lens I got on Monday, I sent back yesterday.
Basically it couldn't achieve focus at anything in the distance making it useless for landscape or star photography. While this brand is known to have the sharpest edge to edge focus when they are like they should be, they also have QC issues with many of them having alignment issues with the internal lenses.
Since I'm getting these
through Amazon with it's excellent return policies, it's still a hassle to have to deal with the exchanging until I get a good one.
I was hoping to have this one for this coming weekend but it looks like that won't happen so I'll wait to re-order.
Saturday, I'm taking the folks out to my Mother's Aunt's that is celebrating her 90th birthday. They live within a national grassland that would have made some nice landscape shots with the lens I'd ordered. For now, I'll just have to use the ones I've got instead.
