Thats about 80 miles south of me, i'll be staying at the hotel i work at.
and although its close to the coast it's NOT on a barrier island

I'm a weather fanatic, I closely follow ALL the storms that threaten us up here, and they always put my stomach in knots. To be facing what you are is insane. Just thought of something that may be useful if you don't already have one...

Get a USB battery pack to recharge your vape and cell phone with. If your location is hit hard, it's more than likely the cell service will go out anyway... but it'd still be a nice backup since the power will also likely go out. Of course, as long as you have access to a vehicle to charge from, it can also be another source to recharge with.

The NHC weather model has shifted yet again ( and will continue to )... it now shows it making landfall about West Palm Beach and going directly over Port Saint Lucie. This is a shift east from this mornings models and crossing fingers it will shift even further east.... but models are more fickle than anything or anyone I know

I don't have a battery, should but I don't. I'll be at the hotel We have a generator, it won't run the whole hotel just some basics safety lighting, communications equipment and stuff like that. My car will be in the parking garage across the street, so that will be close but not always accessible.

5PM update has it shifting west, European model furthest west.
