After the day started out looking like a good chance of storms, then clearing out to just partly cloudy and then just before sunset almost clear skys.... It ended up being electric...
Just a bit after 8pm, I got a tweet that there were tornado sirens going off in a town about 15 miles to the west of me. Looking at the radar, I saw there was a chance of it going over my folks house but would be well to the north of me... so I grabbed the phone to call and make sure they were paying attention as I went outside to check things out. The cloud to cloud lightning was going nuts...
In all, I took 99 shots ( 3 were to set my exposure and didn't have much in them )... almost all of the rest ( If not all, I haven't previewed them all yet ) had at least a little lightning somewhere in them. Here are a couple from the shoot...
