I'm really amazed at the number of shots I actually got with lightning in them last night... it was certainly not the norm.
As I mentioned before, I took 99 shots in total. Of those, the first 3 were just to get the exposure and focus where I thought they needed to be at. The next 96 shots all ended up with at least some bolts in them... one of which I didn't think had any until I looked closer today and found a hairline one in it even.
This particular storm had moved into the are at or just before sunset... If I'd just gone out a little earlier, I could have had some nice cobalt blue sies and perhaps some sunset colors within the clouds along with the lightning... I had gone out 20-30 minutes before sunset and the sky was almost clear with the exception of some clouds just over the trees on the horizon... so I didn't pay much more attention to it until I got a warning notice of a possible tornado in a town west of me.

Had an almost all miss day...
Didn't have any work come in today... and that wasn't a complete miss... I've been working consistently and several late nights for the last couple of weeks... so a dead day was actually sort of nice... but still no income on one isn't fun either...
Then... I messed up last night in the excitement with the storm... I'd forgotten to pull out a pork ribeye steak for today... They just aren't very tasty when frozen. So I grabbed the restaurant flyers I'd gotten... Selected the Schlotzsky's since it had a buy one get one free on their original sandwiches.... then noticed yesterday, they had them on sale for $2 each since it was their "birthday"... oh well... Drove on down to take advantage of the coupon I did have... and I find that they've closed that store to relocate it and there isn't another within a decent short short drive.... Opted for Taco Bueno just down the street.
