Ok... looks like OBG will be in the sights again for more possible storms.

I don't normally post screenshots with Watches on them... typically just warnings. A watch differs in that threats are not imminent like a warning... The reason I am is it is getting late and this one will continue for 7 hours ( until about 4am ). It has threats of possible severe storms as well as tornadoes... it also includes possible high winds and hail.

This one was just issued by the NWS Norman office. It extends from NE Oklahoma and SE Kansas... through the middle of central Missouri into western Illinois. The CAPE has increased in the NE Okla/SE Kansas area and is already producing new storms. It is expected to move ENE through the evening into the night and morning hours.

An increase in the CAPE means there is an increase in the instability of the area. This is the type of stuff that fuels supercell activity in this region. I've got the text for the warning box ( just under it and to the left side a little ). It also intersects some of the other watch boxes that existed prior to this one becoming active. There is also a line of storms that follow it's NW'ern edge ... these will move to the NE sliding east as they go as well, so also watch what those are doing.

Well, up here, I do take it with a caution, but it's nowhere's near what OBG and RD deal with so much. I'm grateful for that.

While I always say to take some caution... I can see why you say that...

But tomorrow the Ohio Valley area may also be in for some storms... so Redd should keep up with things also.

LOLOLOL.... :D

Just thought I heard some rumbling, which is odd since I knew the storms were all well east of me... Turns out the wind has picked up a lot and today ( yesterday actually now ) being trash day, most of the neighborhood still haven't rolled in their bit trash bins and their lids are banging... and I suspect one sound I heard was one of them being blown over.

With storms already brewing in the Ohio Valley... which even this early already includes severe warnings, flood warnings and even 3 tornado warnings in OH, KY and TN ... it's starting to get active.

ReddHot... the ones you should watch are currently moving NE so the initial ones will likely pass south of you but they are also moving north.... so watch your radio and listen to the TV ( :D )
