You can make your own curtains easily without sewing Ree, iron on bias tape is awesome for little projects like that~~just cut the length you need and hit it with the iron and wah-lah! You can pick it up at Walmart in their fabric department. You can find nice fabric remnants there too, or how about some pretty cloth napkins, not sure of the dimensions of your window, but the possibilities are endless. :)

Thanks Zooker you're a life saver! I HATE sewing! I'm really bad at it but good at crafty stuff so the bias tape will work perfectly!

I bet it will be beautiful when it's done! :D

I dunno Stoney. I'm not liking what I'm seeing right now. I am tired, and cranky (I know ya feel me there)...the "lines" in between the strips of COPYRIGHTDMCA is VERY noticeable with the grout in there. Not only that, the grout looks darker than I thought it was going to be.

I bought a 25 lb bag of grout, cuz that was the only size they had in colored grout, and knowing I wouldn't need the whole bag, I mixed up maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of the bag and it was barely enough...I also knocked out a few COPYRIGHTDMCA while I was applying the grout, I stuck them back in, but it's not like the grout is an adhesive, I'll probably have to go back and superglue them in or something.

I started out using the grout float thing, but ended up just taking fist fulls of the stuff and smearing it around and pushing it in with my fingers and palms...oh I had latex gloves on and they ripped and I ended up with grout all under my nails, I couldn't scrub it out so I had to clip all my nails off.

Boo. Boohoo even. Jeesh, I still have to apply the pebbled molding along the floor and grout that too. I don't wanna do it, it was hard!

It's like mowing a large lawn Zooker. You mow from side to side then when you stand out and look at it you see no lines. Maybe your pebble strips should have been going the other direction ?

Oh what do I know ? I'm a freakin monkey fer god sakes
Did I ever tell you how much I adore monkeys? Well I do!
Zooker, you know I know cranky...I know cranky very well :D I'm sorry that the grouting isn't going as easily as you had planned, but I hope it gets easier now that you've done it once :) We'll cheer you on!

In the meantime, put your feet up and have an adult beverage and a vape :thumb:
Definitely have my feet up with a vape, my drink of choice is coffee! I sure could have used the cheer squad earlier though. My husband came home from work and seemed pleasantly surprised by the grout. He just kept running his hand over it and saying how cool the counter looked. He didn't even see the "lines" until I pointed it out, so maybe I'm just being hypercritical of my own work. I need to keep in mind that it looks 500% better than that old-gross-rotten-yellow-squash color that I covered up. I'm going to try and get the molding attached tonight so that I can grout it tomorrow, then I can move onto the floor, which also will be grouted~~but the grout for that tile is premixed, and I will be grouting straight lines, that ought to go much better.
just remember Zooker, it could be worse!
