Yup only in tp mode does it glitch... If it glitches outside tp mode u have real problems!... Throw on a build and pop it up to 450 deg at 40 watts and run it (you may not wanna vape on it) for a little bit... It should glitch pretty quickly

Yea....... You deff don't need to vape it at 40W to see it glitch. I also got the garbled screen with a kanthal build.

Is temp protect on with kanthal?
No, kanthal resistance is quite stable through temperature changes so the device can't calculate the temperature.

Well... If you set a low temperature, you can. It won't hold the 40w for any amount of time though. I think the best would be to set a temperature a little lower than the burning point of you wick material, set 40w and fire the mod a few times without sucking on it :)

It auto switches to displaying voltage instead of temperature on kanthal builds.

See above... Was the glitch when tp is on (yes I realize it switches to volts) but the glitch happened when tp set to "off" or "on" with a kanthal build reAding volts

Heespharm, it was after I switched attys from a nickel build to an atty with a kanthal build. My nickel build was in TP mode before I switched. Vaped the kanthal build about 3 times, each time checking the screen. After the third pull, top of the screen garbled.

The glitch I encountered at a 40W push of the fire button gave me a reading with no numbers next to the W on the screen and my TP setting had magically gone down to 125*. At that point I could not adjust anything on the screen and had to pull the battery to be able to change any of the values on the screen.

Ohh I see, sorry! I wondered if I was missing something when I read that lol.
Tbh I wouldn't think that would matter as I think it's like a 3rd mode that it go's in to once it detects the kanthal coil. Would be interesting to confirm that it still does it with tp switched off though.

Tony, I was trying to find out if my unit was glitchy or not, I saw somewhere that maxing it to 40W and hitting the fire button was how others were encountering the glitch, mine did exactly that!

I'm going to test mine like that as well, not until I receive my Hana clone though.

Yeah very curious! Next one who glitches and reads this should test it... I'd do it but I'm at my parents for thanksgiving and all my mods work perfectly now :p yay! Happy unglitchgivings day to me I guess

Pretty sure, it goes wonky other ways as well. I'm trying to remember what the other things were. If I do I'll put them up. In reality, it glitched 2hours in with regular use with a nickel build, I pulled the battery, rest everything and it was fine for a while, saw the 40W test and happened right away with that. Just nice to know it was a way to find a faulty device, thanks to info found here! Hopefully the one that get back to me is pristine and free of any malfunctions other than by my own handy, crap builds!

I just put on a kanthal build (1.45Ω) and fired at 20w, 30w and 40w. No glitch. Back down to my normal 12w and it's vaping great.

Did I mention I love this thing?

*edit: Put the Ni200 build back on and fired at 20w, 30w and 40w again (temp set at 420°F). Still no glitch. Back down to 15.5w. Big thing I noticed is that the Ni200 build was the same vape at the 3 wattages. The kanthal build was stupid hot at 40w and barely acceptable at 30w.

Ni200 on a KFL+, kanthal on a KFL+ v2.

Kind of wildly done but I found it "interesting"

Very nice. Didn't see it but at which point does it actually burn and go up in flames? You can do that with kanthal but it would be interesting to see what temp that occurs with nickel.
