Damn. I saw your other posts too. Sorry to hear about your troubles with the VF. I'm kinda glad I'm waiting for a dna 40 now. Might wait a bit more.

Hahaha thanks for the sympathy. Haha needless to say I was real disappointed but ah. It is what it is. A part of me expected this when I paid to be an early adopter. It just turned out to be quite a bit worse than I was ready for. Oh well!

I made my own with the current DNA40 and absolutely love it. My DIY SX350s are collecting dust.

Still waiting for the hana box kit from slow err..fastech so I can put my other DNA40 chip in it.
That's definitely a board with the glitch problem. Trust me, I had more than my share of experience with it. It will likely get worse over time. Contact them and get it replaced.
350, I'm waiting on a Hana box from Fasttech too, but it's not going to do me a lot of good if I can't find a DNA 40 board to put in it. Do you know who has stock? I'm guessing Evolv quit shipping while they worked out the TP issues some (all?) of the boards were having, but I'm wondering if they're shipping yet and if anyone has new stock?
KTMRider,
I would call "waiting a bit more" a prudent action on your part.![]()
I'm quite thankful I didn't jump on the vapor flask, though I was pretty close. Ended up ordering the Protovapor XPV, then started reading about the board problems going on with the DNA 40.
The day after I ordered my mod, Protovapor posted that lead times were being increased by 1-2 days for QC checks. Hopefully their increased QC checks are working as intended.
BOOM!
Well the screen glitch is actually evolv's fault.

If you buy a Dell computer that doesn't work right, they don't say, "Oh, sorry, we got a bad chip from Texas Instruments, you'll have to take it up with them," they fix it for you (or give you a replacement or a refund) and it's their responsibility to deal with TI, which is their vendor, not yours.
So while the problem might indeed lie with parts sourced by Evolv, she bought it from Vapor Flask and they're the ones responsible for seeing their customers get working products or get their money back, not Evolv. Dealing with Evolv is VF's job, not its customers'.
Nor should customers have to go through all that rigamarole to get in contact with their vendor. I was actually thinking about getting a Vapor Flask 40, but with customer service like that, I will no longer even consider it.

Another point... It's the weekend so VF might not be as responsive now. I'd wait until Mon or Tues before passing such a harsh judgement on them. From what I've read about them, they're a solid company and I think they'll make it right.
I think part of the problem is that this industry is fairly new so comparing it to a very well established industry isn't quite fair. While I do agree with you that the customer should go to the company, Evolv has been very active in the community and accessible to us that it some might want to go straight to them. You rarely see TI or Intel as active as Evolv has been.
