+1 / same here! Three KFL+s, actually. They're quite awesome. :D

I have 3 KF's (3.1, KFL+ and v2) but I have 2 more on the way for the 40. :D

Sweet ride eh! :D A couple of these is all the mods I want or NEED. Enjoy!

I knew it would be good but it's much better than I was expecting.

That's a different response from these two...

Interesting. Here's a direct quote from an email from VaporShark's Felipe Castano in response to me asking about if they have the Evolv DNA 40 V3 boards: " No, we do not have the V3 yet. If you do not want to run the risk of receiving a possible faulty device then your best bet would be to hold off until Evolv handles the issues. -Felipe".

Soooo sounds like not everyone is on the same page over at VS! Either that or people re getting the runaround? Who really knows at this point!

About the even heat: I actually dry burn my titanium dual coils on my magma by keeping one of the coils in a stream of water while firing. The other one will get about twice as hot and start to glow. Rinse repeat (Haha literal pun!).

Please post some pictures, I have a hard time picturing how you actually use them? Do you just stuff them into the post hole and the coil legs though the crimp?

Go here: Crimp, sterling silver, 3x1.5mm micro cut tube, 1.1mm inside diameter. Sold per pkg of 100. - Fire Mountain Gems and Beads

This is the page that lists the crimps I buy. Right below the listing is a couple of "How to" links, pictures and a video (not for vaping just how to do the crimps).

I crimp the crimp onto the end of the wire and then insert the crimp into the post hole and tighten the be-jiggers out of the atty set screw. You can use them on 32 Ga and up with no worry about cutting the soft Nickel. The Sterling Silver crimps are relatively soft but there is no way you can tighten the screw enough to cut the crimp actually it only crimps it on the wire even more if you really get on it but you don't need to get carried away and the silver makes a really good electrical connection.

Actually there is a couple of Youtube videos where they show how to use them to create NR-R-NR wires no zap welder required. The video is by that British guy that films out of his garage... can't remember his name.

PS - They are about $5 buck for a hundred crimps in the Sterling Silver..

I envy you! I'm that one guy who everything happens to him, there could be 1 bad DNA 40 board and it would land on my doorstep.

But seriously I am going to crack soon, Cyber Monday deal will be pretty hard to pass up.

Just do it. It's not like this is a chinese mod with no warranty. VS and Evolv have both said if you have a defective board, it will be replaced, no questions asked and no extra cost to you (VS will give you a return label). I went in expecting to return it eventually. I still have that thought in the back of my mind but in the meantime, I'm enjoying the heck out of this device. I usually use 3-4 mods every day but yesterday I was only using the rDNA 40. I think today and the next few days will be the same.

Yo Kiwi thanks for picking up all those glitchy mods so I could get a good one :p

HAHAHAHAH yeah that was exactly what I was doing. Heespharm and I were just making our rounds buying glitchy mods so that you guys could get the good ones.

You know, just getting them out of circulation. For the greater good

Hey guys,

Just ordered a Vaporflask DNA 40. Have some NI200 on the way as well. Can't wait! :)

I just have one question. Do you have to run it in TP mode to see if you have a glitchy board? Are the problems people are experiencing only happening in TP mode? Just curious.....sorry for the ignorance: I admittedly haven't been keeping up with this thread, but now that I have a DNA 40 on the way I guess I have some reading to do! Lol....

Yup only in tp mode does it glitch... If it glitches outside tp mode u have real problems!... Throw on a build and pop it up to 450 deg at 40 watts and run it (you may not wanna VAPE on it) for a little bit... It should glitch pretty quickly

Gotcha. Thanks man! Looking forward to giving it a go! :)

I was going to go with another Vaporshark rDNA (already have a an rDNA 30), but part of my reasoning for going with the flask is that I like the display up top. There's a lot more going on on the DNA40 display, what with the real time temp. readout and stuff, so I'd like to more easily see what's going on....

Can't wait to get it! :)
