AFAIK the top side battery contacts are also on that part, which are the parts that cause the premature weak battery.
Right you are.

Is it displaying voltage instead of temp when you get the higher ohms?Does anyone know why everytime I replace the battery my resistance jumps? So I have this 0.19 ohms cool. Vape vape vape. Then change battery, small click, goes to 0.28 ohms. Then after refinement goes back to 0.19 ohms. Weird!

Let me ask this, are you using it just prior to changing the batteries. Because that would make sense if it hadn't cooled all the way. But if your changing cold then no, that doesn't make sense. I agree but why? I mean removing the atty and putting it back is beautifully implemented it asks me and I say same coil then it 0.19 every time. But why isn't the same thing happening when I change battery? If it doesn't want to ask it should assume that it is the same atomizer and keep it at 0.19Aal... from what I am reading it may be that when you change the battery the device recognizes that coil at 0.28 ohms as the atty coil may not be at the cold ohm rating of 0.19. If the devices determines the ohm to be 0.28 (after battery change) it may not ask "new/old" (only asks if it is unsure) and then will refine back to 0.19... or I may be reading your situation wrong...
That's a pretty big jump in Ω's almost as if the coil was firing. Surely it's not that hot. (just thinking out loud)All TP devices require the atty and device to start at the same temperature. If your device and coil are not at the same temperature you will get an ohm reading that will need to refine back to the base temperature of the device.
Ok then what should I do when I'm chain vaping and battery dies then grab another battery? Should I wait?
Just be aware of it and adjust accordingly. Eventually the board will recalibrate the temperature.
There's no perfect solution here because the board is powering down and has no idea what happens until it powers up again. It could be in an entirely different mod a year later. A modder might be able to mitigate this with a capacitor in parallel with the battery.
This worked on both rDNA40 and Hana Modz v4.Wondering if plugging in a USB charger before changing battery out could act in a similar manner as a capacitor in parallel?
