Since the discovery of the brass chimney and the uncertainty of the wicking material in the BVC I dusted off my Kayfuns and Russian 91%. Forgot How well these suckers vape.
I also picked up the new Kanger dual setup. This thing is fabulous. At least I know the KGD cotton is not a mystery.
The tank also comes with a few coils and some KJD cotton so any can scree the coil on the deck. Construction is also 100% stainless through and through.
Hoping Provape contracts Kanger for a 23 ml diameter with a P3 base. They will knock it out of the park.
6 nautilus and 10 boxes of coils on the shelf until I know more.

Anyone notice the P3 battery "mileage" gage starts out at 90%? I just noticed that. Kind of odd I think.

Mine doesn't, it's still at 93% and I've been using it for a couple of hours :)

ETA - I'm vaping at 5 watts on a 2.37Ω coil in a Protank 2.

Mine, and I think, everyones, starts out taking the set Watts, the first draw, the battery quality etc. in account. When I use a fully charged VTC4, it starts with a higher percentage, than a Tensai 18500 1400mah (no high-drain), for example. Sometimes all batteries say 99%..

Mine starts at 99% with a fully charged battery. Are your batteries older?

Now 2 hours after starting to Vape my battery is at 97%.

The battery I mentioned in the above post is around 7 months old, although it's probably only been through 50 cycles at the most (it's an AW IMR 18490). It also started out at 99%, after coming off my charger at 4.19v :)

Oh and if anyone is curious I have been using it ever since my last post (about 7 hours, at the same settings I posted above), and it's now at 71% :vapor:

I blame the brand new X-Box One for keeping me up all night

BTW - I know you weren't talking to me, but I've been following this thread since the beginning, and I haven't been able to share my experience until now. So I can't help myself

Freshly charged, brand new Orbtronic 2900mah. The battery was charged only once in its life so far. I've only used it once. I don't remember it starting that low last time. IQ only 82%. Everything is brand new so I don't know what the issue could be.

On IQ I've finally come to the point I don't worry much about IQ as long as it says great. I would, if you haven't yet, pull the spring out a bit to make a firmer contact with your battery. You'll likely see IQ rise and this is recommended by Provape. You may see your battery meter rise as well.

My freshly charged Orbtronic 2900mah battery will show 95% charge and an IQ around 85, but the battery will go at least 2 days on a charge and since the P3 functions and sends the right volts or watts to the atty it's fine with me. I stopped getting caught up in the IQ feature and rather how great it vapes.

Ping, I think the 28ga, 1.4 ohm is your sweet spot for the kayfuns if those premades are the route you want to go. 2 cents.

I would certainly go the wrapped coils to save my sanity. If the coils last several months how often does the cotton need to be changed?

If you charge a battery and let it sit there for a day or two before use, would you expect it to drop a little in voltage? Because I totally did that.

Yes it will drop off. When I said freshly charged I didn't mean they went right into the P3. Some sat several days before I used them.

It will depend on your juice and how gunky it is. Many NETs you're lucky if you can get 2mls. Some NETs (like I vape) you can go 8 - 10 mls. Not sure about fruits and desserts. I suspect most of those go in the 4 - 12 ml range. It's not a big deal to break down your Kayfun after every two tanks, give it a full rinse, dryburn and wick change. I do it all the time.

Ping, if you want, PM me your address and I'll send you some premade coils. All you have to do is attach them to your kayfun. I have a ton of ... cotton too if you need some of that. Let me know. I'd be happy to do it.

I change the wick in my Kayfun every night. A few liquids will make it past a single tank, but not by much. Flavor goes to crap often before a single tank is even finished and I end up dumping it early and rewicking and dry burning the coil. I have no idea how people go through multiple tanks on a single wick/coil without changing. I find it generally impossible to get past a single tank without flavor going straight to hell.

Again Moon, it depends on the e-liquid you use. The ones I vape the most last me two full tanks. But I have some that wont even last a tank. I vape those in drippers.

Your results are inline with my own. A couple menthols and stuff like that will be tolerable for a max of 2, but usually less. I am referring to the people who claim like 100mls from a kayfun build.

Those people have scalded tongues and can't tell the difference between a Ruth's Chris T-bone and a Spam slice. :)
