At long last, details of the P3 have been revealed. Now it's time to take a look back and see who got the predictions right!

The top cap does look as though it has eGo threading built in. I might be wrong on that though.

BAM! Called it!

Magman007 really is James Bond. That was pretty accurate.

They stole your "Perfected" comment.

6 for 6. Pretty good.

I hope it catches on. :D

I don't know how much the "What do you want to see on the version 3 ProVari?" thread influenced the development of the P3, but it's obvious that someone was paying attention. (Either that, or we're good guessers).
Thanks man! It all seemed pretty obvious to me the features they would bring out. I suppose I really am their target audience, as this is right up my alley! With vw I can be a bit less careful with my coil builds and with the lower ohm limit coupled with the boost technology I can play with some thicker gauge wires and Pre heat them too. So I can get a consistent vape, and still play with my coils a bit, or at least not care if I missed a wrap or wrapped too much or what ever. I guess what I am saying is it was becoming a pain to hit that exact 1.5ohm coil every time.

Now I just need to wait for a kayfun base to be released. And I can pass my 2.5 down to my wife after it goes in to have its board reglued after p3 is in my hands!

I can't wait to get this. While there are a lot of changes, the only one I really cared about was the flat top cap to be flush with Kayfuns and other rbas. The price would be another issue. If it costs way more than my 2.5 than I would probably pass.

It's not going to be flush. The P3 is 23mm. It'll sit flush on top, but will not be flush on the sides. There will have to be a tapered top cap to be flush, on the sides, with all 22mm toppers.

Kinda bummed it's going to be dealers only until tba... Last time I took my gf to the local place she about broke up with me. It's always crazy busy and I can only image when the P3 gets there.

The P3 won't make the place crazy busy. Do you really think people will be lining up around the block for a $300.00 PV? That being said, I live down the street from Vaperev. So I'll buy two and ship you one for a 30% mark up =) JK everyone calm down.

Weird in Phil's video he screwed on a Kayfun and it looked flush on the sides.

Disrespect to not have it online at the start, there's no B&M for hours near me, I might have to reconsider buying it. No appreciation for online customers it seems

Completely agree with this. The nearest B&M store to my place is over 2 hours away. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to fork over my money online at launch.

With that being said, the P3 looks amazing. Great job, Provape. :)

My thoughts so far......

1. Multi-color led button.
Pointless. The only time I remotely need the button led on my 2.5 is when I get the low battery flash. Since the P3 has a on-screen battery meter I don't need the button to light up. I don't vape at raves.

2. Flipping screen.
Pointless. Are we that lazy that we can't flip our mod one way or the other to take a look at the screen?

3. Multiple profiles.
Again pointless. With all the button presses to select different topper profiles, I could go ahead and make voltage/wattage changes for my different topper.

4. Jump/flash drive.
If I'm going to be at my PC or tablet to use it, I'd rather have that info in PDF format.

5. Shiny pretty box.
Do you know how many shiny pretty boxes I have in my basement from my buying vape accessories. Just give me a plain ole mailing envelope & bubble wrap so I can throw it away without feeling bad.

This is just my 2 cents. Maybe some will agree, maybe not. But lose all these waste of money features and give me a P3 under $250, I will be first in line to throw money at you.

Well there's no B&M in Canada within thousands of miles of me that carries them that I'm aware of so stop your whining. Wait for it to go online like 95% of everyone else.

That's not the point. Online customers have also helped to make the brand big. Why shouldn't they be shown some appreciation as well? This is completely disrespectful to anyone who bought a ProVari online.

This is a lot of negativity over little things, IMO.

The multi-color button saves them from having to sell 3 different models in every finish to accommodate people's LED preference. The screen flipping is nice for lefties, as they don't have to read the screen upside-down constantly, and/or vape with their right-hand. Not sure how you can view that as a negative. I happen to agree with points 3, 4, and 5...but I doubt they'll add a ton of cost to the units. Packaging / presentation isn't all that important to me as a consumer, but it definitely shows that the manufacturer takes pride in their product, and that's always a good thing.

Very durable. It is not spring loaded so no worries of getting juice in there that could gunk up the spring.
I'm just guessing here, but that must mean the red piece of rubber extends into the tube completely encapsulating the pin, with only a wire sticking out at the bottom. When you screw on a tank or dripper so it sits flush, the rubber stretches out a bit. It's either that or it's just a rubber gasket that's thick enough that it can compress.

Incase anyone was wondering why people want to ban online sales, this is the reason. Anyway, its not like an ECF member can't buy one at a local shop and ship it to you. I'd do it for you. No biggie.

Another thing to think about too is that some B&M's have online sales. So maybe people can buy the P3 from a B&M's web site and have it shipped.

I'm just saying that a lot of us are prohibitively far from a B&M to purchase and have no other choice but to wait for online sale. Not that people shouldn't shop at b&ms. In fact as provape said, they are doing this to honour the b&ms that carry their product. I have no problem with that at all, other than obviously not being able to get my hands one one sooner if the price, reviews etc. are good.

One of our local B&M shop owners told me that he inquired about retailing 'Varii but Provape refused him the markup he wanted to "make a little profit" from selling them so he decided against it. His prices are ridiculously high on everything. For instance, he's selling Vamo 5s for $109 + tax.

Maybe he wanted $700 for them ... and Provape said no dice .

I realize this. Maybe I should have said it's a lot better since there is no need for a cone to make it look decent. Half a mm on either side is not that big of a deal to me.
