Features are spot on for me.

Like others, I'm thinking the design/engraving doesn't stand out enough. Get rid of the hexagon and cover the thing in teardrops... amazing..

I am also waiting for the colors to be announced and to see some images of what they look like. While I know it will be a quality device, the design (at least what we've seen so far) is just meh.

Bring back the teardrops!!!! Please!!!

So is the design finalized or is there room for changes? For example, as mentioned by a few people, the hexagon is a bit out of place. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous device. But if I were to nitpick, the hexagon is the only visual thing I'm not a fan of. The"P3" text in itself is fine. With me anyway.
The text around the battery cap and top cap are very nice touches.

I actually like the diamonds. If I weren't pretty much sure those betas would be thousands of dollars, I'd love to have one. Just because of the look.

Maybe if I win the lottery. ;)

Because while I think the new P3 looks great, I'm not spending $500+ on a 20W device, and that's my guess for the minimum B&M price, if not closer to $1000 until direct sales begin.

Am I the only one that thinks he doesn't need to "stand out" in terms of presentation as a ProVari?
The functionality is most important to me, and I actually like the clean look. The over branding with the hex is about the only thing I'd change in terms of form.

I'm excited about this. I've never been a cloud chaser so I don't really "get' the limitations. I'm quite pleased at a Vape between 11 and 15 watts (max) so this will do. It's a nice step up while keeping the ProVari feel.

Congrats, Provape. I'll definitely be picking one up when they're available.

$500.00? No way they will never sell.... I am thinking more like the $300.00--$350.00 range....

I think even that will put a lot of people out of the market. Provape says themselves they are going for the general mass market of vapers. Or at least that's my impression. $300-350 would turn away a lot of the mainstream market IMO. Myself included. I'm hoping the v2.5 gets a price drop and the v3 is somewhere near the current 2.5 price.

My guesstimate is $380 plus B&M profit. It has features that the Wizard Apprentice does not (step-down, IQ, etc) and so a small premium is warranted, but also I feel that the latter may be a tad overpriced on its own.

Edit: on the other hand, they want to standardize P3 threading, so it might make sense to keep the price a tad lower than they might be able to get away with for the sake of grabbing a larger initial market share.

I think provape has said that they will publish a MSR price for it, so that should hopefully keep the B&M's somewhat honest.

Anything north of 300, though, and I will probably just grab a wizards apprentice.

No way will it be over $300.00. They can't expect it to do well at a price like that. I originally scoffed at the 20 watt limit, but the device looks really nice. I'd like to trade my 2.5 for one and pay the extra cost, if only for the lack of window screws on the new one. Yes, they bother me on the 2.5.
I wouldn't buy a P3 and keep my 2.5 though. I really don't need more than 1 Provari for any reason and these two are similar enough to where they both function the same as far as actually vaping goes. I use it from 7am until midnight easily with an 18650. There's no room in there for a second device. I can switch toppers for flavor changes if I want.
So, down the road I will likely put my gun metal up for sale to cover some cost of a new one. $500.00 worth of low wattage devices is not where I am willing to go. One device is enough and these fill every role except the high powered, dripping role which I may explore at some point...maybe.

You are right about that...A $249.00 price point and it might still be sellable to the general vaping public? Whatever the cost is you know I will have to give one a go. Heck I have been with Provape since the beginning of their company...:w00t:

I'll likely sell one of my 2.5's to keep as a backup device, but use the P3 as my primary device.

I feel no need to have an expensive backup device. My need to vape is not such an emergency that I need to have a second $200.00 device sitting around just in case. I understand having more than one for enthusiast reasons, but I am happy with one. I have two ego batteries and some clearos incase my main device somehow fails, but they were left over devices from my hardware progression and never get used. A second Provari would never get used. I like vaping but I can't allow myself to dump tons of money into a mountain of hardware when one device gets it done. That's why we buy a provari, right? So that you can expect it to work? If I was buying a cheap alternative, then I would probably grab two of them because I would expect it to break under normal use conditions.
