Yes thank you for your response. But 30 above MSRP I feel it is a rip off.Think they are... Go to ProVape Store Locator and put in "Barstow, CA", vapenaked should show up as an authorized dealer.

Looking for a good LiPo safe bag for charging...
Anyone know of where to buy a good one? Any particularly trusted brand or model?
No, you do NOT want one. You're not charging LiPo's - you're charging LiMn's. It's called a LiPo charging bag for a reason.
LiPo's are typically charged away from the charger. You plug cables from the LiPo battery pack into the charger. You put the LiPo's in the bag, with the wires coming out to the charger. With all the cells we use for vaping, they're placed IN the charger. You do NOT want to place the charger in a LiPo bag, or you'll create the very situation you're trying to avoid. Chargers need to breathe!
Damn! I totally didn't know that...
I live in a multi-unit apartment building, and I'm just trying to avoid any problems...
So what do I do?
I know this is terribly off topic, but where/who else am I going to ask? The old ladies in the kitting forum?
If there is a legitimate battery safety thread, please link!

but the whole "update" thing is killing it for me.
Has there been any mention of how often updates may be required?
Huh? The "update thing" is an additional FEATURE. When was the last time you updated any mod?
Updates are NEVER required - it's a future-proofing feature. You don't have to update, but if ProVape adds a feature you want, isn't it a great thing to have the option to be able to add features to your mod, without them releasing the "P4" and making you buy another one? I don't get it... there's nothing negative about this, at all.
I was really looking forward to the P3 release, but as time goes by and more information is being revealed I can honestly say my interest is very sadly waning. I don't live within a reasonable driving distance of a ProVari dealer, but was 'okay' with ordering directly from ProVape (and pay the $35 - $45 shipping to Canada) as I have with our others (his & hers), but the whole "update" thing is killing it for me.
Paying to send them to someone I don't know and being without them for however long seems unreasonable, and paying $$$ to send them to ProVape and being without them for even longer seems even more unreasonable. Has there been any mention of how often updates may be required? If not, ProVape, could you share?
It's never going to be "required" to update. The device will work great without any updates.
It would certainly be up to the customer to decide if they wanted to add any of the new features.
So the question is would you rather not have that feature available and when new functionality comes out you would not be able to update. That would require purchasing a new device to get those added features. We see it as a cost savings for the customer.

Why wouldn't they want to sell us new P4s?
Oh, they will... that's a given. There's only so much you can do in software. Maybe they will come out with a 30W (or more) P4, and maybe the P3's internals can't handle that much current safely. So, let's take a few guesses as to what the P4 will offer (before the P3 is even released, lol).
1) Higher wattage/amperage.
2) RGB OLED screen - multi-colored menus, or user-set solid color of choice.
3) Screen auto-rotates (like your phone) depending on how you hold it - no more menu selection.
4) Voice recognition - "P4, increase wattage to 30W"; "P4, change LED color to green"...
5) Bluetooth/wifi - transmit stats to an iPhone/Android app (if you hate that, don't use it)
6) Coil temperature reading/limiting - with all the new research on coil/juice temps, this is a prime target for the #1 safety-minded vape company.
X) Variable Amperage - my battery can handle X, and I want to send the most possible power to the dripper atty regardless of volts/watts. Or, I have a cheap-... battery because I'm in Podunk and they only sell ICR's and this is an emergency so I want to limit the current draw. Oh, wait, that can be done today, scratch that one...
Y) P4 thread. No, that would be silly.
Z) Alarm clock. Time to vape!
Let's also add a 26650 battery too.
