Questions for everyone. Overall i love my p3 but i am having an issue with the batter meter. I have brand new aw batteries from provape but i can be vaping with the battery mostly full and all of a sudden it says empty. This seems to happen at least once a day. I just remove and replace the same battery and it goes back to the percentage before the issue. Anyone else see this? Read the whole thread and didnt notice anything like this. Thanks.

Lol. Taking out the battery to lock it falls under the "not ideal" category, too. So, I take it that means it's still a PITA on the P3? Most other mods and ego type batteries have a 5 click lock. Nothing like that on the P3?

On the P3 click the power button 4 times. The scrolling menu comes along. Choose On and your device will be turned off. That's a total of 4 button clicks. To turn it back on, click the power button 4 times. The scrolling menu starts and choose Off to turn it back on. Again, a total of 4 button clicks. It's really simple and very intuitive.

Provape would recommend you unscrew the bottom cap with the spring and pull the spring out a bit. It may be as simple as the connection not being fully up against the battery.

If I save a setting (lets say) in P1 (screen brightness at level 1) and then save an other setting in P2 (with screen brightness at 5) (and the display brightness is not the same in both saved settings) when i switch from one setting to the other by using the recall function, the brightness automaticaly shows at a level of 3? and then I go to the menu and the setting shows level 5 or 1 but the brightness is still illuminating at level 3, until I actually select a level.

Any of you people found this is also happening to you? or is it just me?

Confirmed ......I'm seeing the same thing .....didn't notice it before though.

Ok Jimho, thanks, I'm not totally crazy!

I did open a ticket with ProVape today. I will await for their answer.

Cheers.

Reg

I did get A prompt reply today. :)

They found that same glitch also. They are aware and are looking into it. And I agree with them that it is a minor issue.

No sweat! :)

Sorry, I did not realize that your question was about the P3.

I took a picture with a better camera. Here it is posted below. At this point I'm guessing this is a slight difference between the betas and the release units. I'm going to send the photo to Provape and see what they say. It clearly does not effect the operation or function of the P3, I'm just curious if maybe I got a blew by mistake, (even the best QC in the world can't catch everything) or did they make an some kind of adjustment with the production tubes.

Yep it's very shallow in mine too, barely noticeable. But I'm not that bothered about it tbh. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415066933.655614.jpg

Is the P3 Officially released  I can't find one, every B&M I call said they didn't get any yet :(

Yes, it's officially released to Provari dealers only at this time. In fact, I'm happily vaping on my production P3, purchased at my local Vape Store, which is an authorized Provari dealer. My avatar is me holding my P3 which I took last night.

Thanks. And, I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm not sure I understand. If it's 4 clicks to bring up the menu, then you have to go to the power menu and click on or off, how can it only be 4 clicks total? Is the power menu the first menu that comes up now? I thought it was still the power up menu.

It's only 4 clicks into the menu system.
Once the screen scrolls to the ON/OFF selection, it is an additional click...so 5 total.
However, gone are the days of having to wait for the screen to shut off, so you can click back into the menu system, or click through the system again, in order to reach the option you accidentally passed.
With the P3, once you've clicked into the menu system, it will scroll by for you...twice even, in case you miss your option the first time.
Once you've entered the 2nd level (or any level after that) there is a "back" or "return" option, so you can return the previous level of the menu system!

Sorry, yes it's 4 clicks to bring up the menu, then one more to turn on or off. It's a very nice, easy, logical, intuitive system. At least it is for me. If it is too cumbersome for you, the P3 may not be the best option for you.

Is this a beta or a production unit?

The spring was updated in the production unit to solve this.

If it's a beta and you have the smaller spring, You can stretch your spring to make that connection stronger. Also try cleaning your threads and contacts as this can make a huge improvement in the IQ value which is related.

Thanks. It does sound better, but it sounds like you still have to scroll through the menu system to get to the power menu before you can turn it on or off. It's certainly not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if the power menu came up first, IMO. I'm not worried about the menu being too much. It's just that one option, which, for me, at least is the most used one, which I think there should be a shortcut for. Provape, if you're taking feature requests for future software updates, at the top of my list would be the ability to rearrange the order of the menus, or at least set which one comes up first.

It is a production unit. I put on my provari 2.5 end cap and iq jumped to 68. With the p3 end cap, i cleaned all the connections with noalox and iq jumped to the high 70s. I havent had the problems since i did that but it has only been a few hours. Lets see how it does over the next few days.

Thanks for the quick reply!

We have actually found that noalox can dry out and cause a worse connection so it's not recommended to use that for very long. It can build up in the threads and lose it's conductivity over time. It's suggested to clean out the threads with isopropyl to get all the noalox removed. :)
