Bump for an answer to this please ... it's one of the reasons I'm on the fence.
Updates on my iPhone I can do ... updates on my Provari![]()
I don't get it. Shouldn't you be happy that you're now ABLE to update the firmware? That opens the doors to new features without having to buy a new device. Just like previous ProVari models, you can keep the firmware the same as the day you bought it if the though of upgrades bothers you for some odd reason. It'll work just as good as it did the day you bought it. I've been using my ProVari 2.5 for a long time now, and if there ever were any updates for it, I'm oblivious to it as it still works great.
Think about this. The only known bug in the release firmware (v35) was an extremely minor display brightness issue when recalling saved presets. It's so minor that nobody in the entire length of the extensive P3 beta program period even noticed. Kudos for ProVape for fixing it in a newer build, but 5 people in the world will really care (and they're all in this tread, lol). The only reason I was holding out to get that fix is because I have a beta unit, which has v31 of the firmware. It's missing quite a bit that the release version has, and since I have to send it in for an update, I might as well wait for the last known bug to be fixed. I doubt ANYONE will send in a v35 P3 to get updated to v36 - that's crazy IMHO.
As with ANY product, analyze it, do your research, and decide if the product is right for you the way it is at that moment, because in most cases that will never change. Thankfully, ProVape have added the ability to make improvements and add features without asking you to buy a new model. Products are always being improved upon. Sometimes that's revealed as a series of small firmware updates; sometimes that's revealed all at once years later in a new product. Which method would you prefer?

(no dancing bananas yet!) hihihi
