From what I've seen, if they're 1.8Ω or less, yes, they'll work with BoosT. For a grunge margin, I'd shoot for 1.5-1.6Ω max. OTOH, I also probably wouldn't build lower than 0.8Ω to have a little above the 0.7Ω lower limit.

So anything coil over 1.8 boost becomes useless? I then can't get above 10 watts of power. Why on earth would anyone need more then 20 watts?

FWIW, on my P3 Beta (s/w ver 31), I've got a nautilus with a 1.8 ohm BVC coil (currently reading at 2.0 ohms) set at 10.6 watts w/boost at 2 that's working fine...no error messages showing at all. Have had it for a little over 2 weeks and my 2.5's and VS rDNA are gathering dust. Love the P3! Can't wait for the P3 Ti...

Your resistance does not equal power requirements. How much power you need depends on how much coil there is. You can sub ohm at 50 or 100 watts. You need the power to heat up fat coils.

With BoosT off, 1.8Ω is the highest resistance you can use to get 20W because of the 6.0V limit. 2.0Ω will get up to 18W at 6.0V, 2.5Ω will get up to 14.4W at 6.0V, and 3.0Ω will get up to 12W at 6.0V.

This just in:

Several news outlets are reporting the outbreak of a new virus, said to be emanating from the Pacific Northwest, and spreading across North America. The virus has also been said to have jumped to a few European countries as well.
Scientists are hesitant to call it an epidemic, but as the number of cases continues to rise, they may be faced with few other options.
The virus was first reported about 10-14 weeks ago, and has reportedly spread exponentially. While the first few cases were identified as beta-carriers, the current victims of what is now being called the H1-P3 virus, have become directly infected.
While the CDC, ECF, and CASAA have yet to make any statements, we have a small list of the most identifiable symptoms.
1. Many of the infected have been seen lurking near mailboxes and delivery locations, with dilated pupils and slight foaming around the mouth.
2. The infected are also said to be calling out of work, and staying away from family & friends, preferring to stay indoors, surrounded by clouds of water vapor.
3. The infected have been reported as slightly incoherent, and taking on the appearance of fictional character Golum, from the Lord Of The Rings movies.
If you, or anyone you know, has been displaying these symptoms, you are advised to go to the nearest Authorized Provape reseller, to be treated immediately.
More details on the way, as this story unfolds.

Need to relearn how to vape with this. I am so used to holding the button down for a while to get the coil up to temp.

OMG This(!) is what I bought the P3 for.

Edit: boost 2 works better for me! :D

Are you not getting the flashing error on the main screen with that 2.0Ω coil and BoosT on? (Do a short button click)

edit: I'm trying to figure out the maximum resistance that can use BoosT. For me, 1.8Ω works, 2.2Ω errors, but I don't have anything between those two right now.
