Um, no. Old end cap gave me an IQ of 49.

cleaned all threads, stretched spring again, 68 IQ

Hmmmm. Just can't believe you have dirty contacts being just two days old. ProVape doesn't ship crusty crap. It seems your IQ is sensitive to uncapping and recapping. You said you rotate five batteries. Have you measured IQ in the other four?

Just for fun, I applied a thin film of mineral oil on my bottom cap threads to see if it impacted IQ. It was 95 before I applied the film and it was 96 after I checked it with the film.

Yes, I went back and cleaned the mineral oil off the threads. :)

Just for fun, I wiped the threads with a Tuf Cloth, a non-oil protector I use on my carbon steel blades (not the ones for food). IQ dropped from 96 to 95.

And I am done playing with this for now. I am going to go get on the elliptical and work off some of this frustration. LOL

Love the elliptical. Hated it when I smoked, but love it as a non-smoker.

I had responded earlier that my IQ went from 92 this morning to 86. I just checked and my IQ is now 93. I haven't touched anything. Battery percentage is pretty much the same (a tad lower since I've been vaping) but I wonder what would make IQ dip and go back up?

Whoever said Provape might ultimately regret the IQ reading may have that right. We're all going to be checking it just to check it.

Have you used No-Ox on your threads? I had purchased No-alox when I got my 2.5, but Provape says they no longer recommend it, instead recommending No-Ox. I have some vapemail coming from Provape with No-Ox and cup holder stand for my car.

I haven't really concerned myself with the IQ (though it's easy when I'm always reading 95+). But Robin's battery meter shows empty at halftime so I'm just thinking there is a connection issue. Hence, the IQ discussion. Wish Vape360 would hop on and walk us through. This P3 is way too new for any of us to use historical info.

I use your mineral oil on my straight razors, so I've got a bottle of that. :D Maybe I'll get 97.

Edit: just bought some gold-plated contacts to upgrade my older REOs. Still waiting for that gold-plated spring from ProVape.

Drown it in mineral oil and you'll get 112. Maybe your P3 will start washing your dishes for you. :)

I have four of the new AW batts from RTD, the upgraded 1200 mahs in 18490 (only size I use). The new batts have a slightly diff nipple than the older 1100 AWs, I consistently get 2-5 iq points higher with them. Odd, but just thought I would share.

So the new AW 18490 1200's are now available?

Size 18490

#6 = 78 IQ
#7 = 83 IQ

Size 18350 (brand new. Ordered with the P3)

#8 = 89 IQ
#9 = 90 IQ

Interesting. The new batteries are giving you pretty good IQ's. Still doesn't explain why those older batteries give you considerably more time in your old Provari unless the P3 is more ..... Let's round up Vape360 to get his input.

You can run the elliptical now. :)

Yes, I have four of the 1100s, and four of the 1200s....all purchased from RTD and all about the same cycles (I don't keep track but rotate through). My P3s Iq likes the new style, only diff I see is the covering and a slightly larger nipple area. Hard to show in pics...

The 96 I'm reporting is with three one-year-old AW IMR 1600 aAH 18650s that each have maybe 10-12 charge cycles (from 50%) on them.

I'm only getting 80 with three 16 month old AW IMR 2000 mAH (10A) 18650s that each have well more than 100 charge cycles (from 50%) on them.

I'm getting roughly 88-90 IQ with three, probably 9 month old AW IMR 1100 mAH 18490 that each have probably 50-60 charge cycles (again, 50%) on them.

Just for a point of reference...

Well, it suggests the more charge cycles the less your IQ is. Stands to reason. Seems the older Robin's batteries are the lower the IQ as well. But again, she is noticing a radical difference in vape time on the P3 versus her old Provaris using the same battery. Well, maybe not. If she pulls the battery out of the P3 and reinstalls it she gets more life from it. So maybe the battery provides the same life in both the P3 and her old Provaris but the meter just wonks out with the older batteries. Perhaps much more sensitivity in the P3 versus the older ones. Might not like mid-age to older batteries from a metering standpoint.
