Food for thought? I bought 3 of the new 18350 from RTD, and they last me most of a day at 9 watts. The cool part besides being smaller, by not using any of the tubes, my IQ ranges 95-99 all day long. Just something to consider while at home or close.

i did notice that too when i use a 18500 battery also... the iq is higher.

I assume you mean higher than an 18650.

In my case, the 1100 mAH AW IMR 18490s have a significantly lower IQ than my 1600 mAH AW IMR 18650s. But the 490s have more cycles and the 1600 mAH has a much higher amp rating than the typical 2000 mAH AW IMR 18650s.

Can't find the exact post, but It was something like you ohms and watts readings, and it got my little nugget to start thinking and tinkering... and it worked out quite nice... I'm vaping that setup in 2 of my kayfun lite.. hehehehe

Ended with 2mm ID coil 28 Ga 1.4 Ohms and 7.5 watts...

thanks again. :)

Ah yes, that is my build on the Kayfun. I set the B2 level for boost. Seems to be dialed in good. Still playing with 26 gauge but for now the 28 seems to be the optimal level at those power settings. Prior to the boost on P3 I was using 30 ga, 10-wrap, 2mm ID at about 2.0 ohms on my P2. The boost allows me to use a thicker wire. I like to maximize coil area when I can. I believe 360 mentioned the P3 seems to excel in the 1.6 - 1.8 ohm range. I tend to agree.

My AW 18490 is at 40% and reads 90 for the IQ. I took it out and put it in my 2.5 and did a battery check and it shows 3.6. So has anyone had their battery shut down on the P3? Does it flash at all before shutting down? Sorry if I missed a post about battery life.

Yes it flashes. Although, it doesn't seem to be as noticeable for some reason. It is not an obnoxious flash. Might be because of the color that I have it on. ;)

Everyone seems to have a slightly different experience. How did we get by with the simple 2.5?

I haven't paid a whole lot of attention but it doesn't start off with the slow flash and as the battery drains gets faster like the 2/2.5s I have. From what I can tell there's no flash at all until the battery is completely drained below the cutoff level. At that point it's a single flash every few seconds and the button light color changes to red.

Everyone is having different experiences, because everyone has different batteries. Even if two people have the identical make and model of a battery, their battery has been put through different paces.

The P3 is almost too damn smart for its own good.
The proof of that, is everyone having different experiences with their battery life and IQ scores.
EDIT: And on daily battery life, two people will vape very differently, even if they have the same battery, and the same build on their atomizer. The difference with the P3 is, we are now seeing the results of how differently we all use our devices.
