How's your iq? I find often that my iq will drop and my battery percentage will be low, so I unscrew the cap, screw it back in, iq jumps back to 91 or so and battery % goes way back up

Just put in another fully charged battery and it reads 73% and a 51 IQ. :-(

49 IQ......screwed it in again....49 IQ. It was 91 earlier.....???

Stop.
Just stop.
You're gonna drive yourself absolutely BONKERS worrying about your IQ.
Clean the threads, clean the contact point on the chip, clean both ends of the battery, charge the battery, and check your IQ.
If it's high (above 55), don't worry about it.
If it's low (below 55), it's time for a new battery. (Someone please find the IQ scale listed by Provape, to check these figures.)
If the battery is new(er), you still may have overworked it enough to cause its internal resistance to be higher...
But other than all that...just vape.
Constantly checking your IQ will do nothing but drive you crazy. If you're satisfied with the vape, just vape.
Constantly checking your IQ won't change it.

Just vape it like your v2 or v2.5...
It's seriously NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL.
All these fussy-fussies, worrying about their battery meter and IQ scores...
The P3 vapes as well as the previous model, at the VERY least.
You will not need to carry extra batteries...

Look at it this way...
Your friend finally admits to you how silly you look in your favorite shirt...and then you get self conscious about it...
Has your appearance ACTUALLY changed? No. You look the same in the shirt as you did before your friend said anything...the only difference is how you FEEL.

That's the battery gauge. You're gonna get the same performance, if not better, from your device. Except now you'll have a live percentage gauge on the charge remaining, and an IQ score to reflect the quality of your battery and cleanliness of your threads and battery contacts...

The P3 is the same as previous models. The difference is now we (the users) get a better look into what's going on during use...something the v2/2.5's didn't do.

Yea I see your point. I still maintain that I can see how it would confuse/annoy a lot of users, but personally I will continue with my same pattern. New battery in the morning when I wake up, and replace it if I'm going out after 8pm, or intend to be gone overnight.

There ya go!
And as you learn how the P3 makes a difference in your routine, you can adjust for that!

I'm definitely not obsessing over the IQ. I don't even fully understand what it is yet lol. My original question was about my fully charged *brand new* batteries reading at 73%-75% when I put them in and if anyone else had this issue....

No! Don't suggest the leaky, poorly performing Aerotanks! Everyone I know, has immediately switched to a Nautilus after trying mine...
I'm a Kayfun user, but I've got a Nautilus cuz I had to see what the fuss was about...and I was impressed!

I bought an Aerotank Mega when they first came out. It peed on everything. Car seat, my leg, the bed. Coils never lasted over 2 days, and it would just randomly flood and start leaking. Don't know if they've improved the coils since, but mine has been retired to the Drawer of No Return.

I read this too quickly. I thought you said you peed all over everything and I'm thinking I hadn't heard the Aerotank Mega was that great.

Is that the kind of stuff on the key thingy I haven't bothered to read?

Ok. So long as we are clear that IQ and the battery percentage meter on the home screen are two separate things! Hahaha!

The best advice given here, for what you're describing, is to do a thorough cleaning, and try stretching your spring out a little bit.
Cleaning aside, it sounds like your battery is not making good enough contact with the board.
Thorough cleaning should include:
End of tube threads (female), ends of extension tube threads (male AND female), bottom cap threads (male), battery ends, contact point on the bottom of the board.
