well....when someone asks or comments on the radius...it is easier to reply in the thread it was asked, then answer in the radius thread and tag them ;)

i waz making a funny. I constantly lead threads astray - it's my attention span.

I will be the first guinnea pig beta tester for a Provari Squonker!
:w00t::lol::w00t::lol::w00t::lol::w00t::lol:
I'm right behind you! Then again, I'm afraid to say that if ProVape makes it, I'm likely to buy it :)

I've lost count of how many times I've seen this sideXside pic but do anyone of you remember Ignition? These bases used to be all the rage....what happened??? Seems in vaping, all we need is 24 hrs for something else to become the next hit wonder. Folks now once again clamoring for the SxS or am I missing something- ya'll just want one done by ProVape?

Ignition still runs around $100...
And it's not flat. It's got that step.

Which is fine, if you like it.
But one made by Provape would be cool.

Maybe Zen would make one.

I'm sure the Radius cap won't allow more electrons to flow compared to the Procyon cap on their allowed current.
But even if (as you say) the Radius offers more than X4 connection, I'm sure that if Provape gives us a device with X4 connection (Procyon), then it's safe enough. No need for complicated battery swaps and X40 or X400 connection.
It actually does mainly due to the fact that it is a direct to board connection and has a bit less resistance than going through the tube with a threaded section. The bottom plate conducts nothing. We're talking mili-ohms here but there is a difference. Personally I always wondered why they went with screws for the bottom plate and not cam lock bolts.

I'll try and measure the mod resistance when I get ahold of a Procyon and can borrow my electronics repair gurus high end meter.

I'm working at a Nuclear plant and I hope my Procyon comes before this job ends, I want to see the Security face when I send my Stealth through the X-ray machine
Refresh my memory but doesn't your job usually end up extending your stay? How much longer do you have til your 30 days is up?

I doubt it.. Not with 10 amps. A cap with a good threading is enough. It was done before, nothing new here.
But even if it offers a slightly better conductivity - a car manufacturer could design a car with hatch wheels on the doors instead of the regular locks, because it offers a better protection deep in the ocean, but do we really need it ?

I wonder if they could put the Procyon internal guts into one of these?

Like like some of the recently shipped 2.5 blems. :D

Looks cool though. IME, honest wear on just about anything is a surefire indicator that the device is solid and reliable.

Same update process as the P3 since we don't have room for a USB connection on the tubes.
There's no need for a USB connector. The battery contact on the PCB also doubles as a way to access the chipset to perform the update. All you have to do is change the connection protocol and make a cable with a USB connection on one end, and the same connector that's on the cable that hooks up to the ProVari updater on the other end. Problem solved and everybody's happy. How hard can it be? Your decision to make a proprietary updater box and use of a serial cable made things far more difficult and expensive than they have to be. Now, here's a question for you Provape guys, if I can come up with a way to make a tube mod user update-able, why can't the aerospace engineers working for you do the same thing?

I agree ... one of my favourite daily vapes is a well worn V2 with the P3 top ... this thing vapes like it was brand new
