I think you may have misunderstood things here. The radius design gave a better than 4x connection than the spring type. What the Procyon cap does is bring the connection quality of the radius to the tube mod, though not quite as good due to the fact that the radius negative plate is directly wired to the board. The Procyon still has threads in play but the spring is there only for pressure and not conductivity. The pyramid plate in the cap provides the main connection point the spring may be a secondary conductin path.So now that Provape managed to develop the new High Performance End Cap for the Procyon, which offers X4 times electrical connection (quoting their website), they can certainly copy the design to the Radius as an upgrade, offering both a better conductivity and easier battery replacement.
LUMEN SEES TOTUSI think it was a precondition for them in whether or not they would design a 40W device. That's just my opinion.
I believe they looked at their mission statement, which is safety first and foremost, and decided they would provide the battery. Then, at least, they could feel good about having done all they could to make sure that mission statement had been met. What we do with it after that they can't control, but they've done their best.
I'm sure there is also some technical reason they decided to go with double screws, and a one piece bottom plate. What that reason is.. no idea.
But you can also tell, precisely because of the way they decided to implement it, that getting at the battery was secondary, at best, in what they were trying to achieve with the Radius.
I think they want a good battery, in a stable envioronment, and they want it left alone. I also think they weren't much interested in producing a disposible product.
I don't really have an opinion on whether or not it's a good thing to be swapping batteries in and out of the Radius.
I believe that ProVape would rather we didn't, otherwise they would have made it easier to do in the first place.
It may just come down to the fact that they can't control the batteries that people are going to put in there.

Imagine it being compatible with v2.0/v2.5, P3, New Classic, and Procyon!
That almost looks like a Skynet, except it was a squonker.

Please point to this statement made by ProVape.
Why should they?
I don't think anything got out of hand in here today.
Mariusk post on not liking the last few devices Provape made didn't bother me, it was the comment on the Provape engineers that I might of took the wrong way.
But even at that, I was just having a little fun.

I'm sure the Radius cap won't allow more electrons to flow compared to the Procyon cap on their allowed current.
But even if (as you say) the Radius offers more than X4 connection, I'm sure that if Provape gives us a device with X4 connection (Procyon), then it's safe enough. No need for complicated battery swaps and X40 or X400 connection.
I am truly saddened that this is such a difficult task for you.I just listened to this song and imagined I'm swapping a Radius battery with no hassle, no plates and no hanging wires...
Can we focus on the Procyon instead of repeatedly steering this thread off topic?
