Question to you folks: What tank should I try out on this bad boy? I am a recent Kabuki convert and currently vape at around 8 watts or so. I have Atlantis 1, Atlantis 2, Triton, Nautilus, Kanger and Kanger mini tanks. The Kabuki has spoiled me though. No gurgle, no leaking and such sweet vape. I probably didn't need a 50 watt machine, but could not resist adding to the collection. I don't want to build coils. Any recommendations for a quality tank for the Procylon. Love the name btw, as I was a big fan of the Battlestar Galactica Reboot.
Use what you like at the present time. You can always get something different down the road.

I'm running my Radius at about 8 watts, that's the beauty of all things ProVape, they step down perfectly, and they deliver power consistently across the range from low to high.

I agree that the Greek Key symbols are very nice indeed, and like @Vicshalls mentioned it would great in a contrasting color. Overall, an elegant addition to the Provape lineup.

But as others have said, the18650 mode as the only option is a deal breaker for me. I love my P3 in 350 mode for the pocket, 500 mode for general use, and full on Churchill mode for the house.

I understand Provape's decision with 50W but the P3 is going to be around awhile.

Looking through the manual I saw that the Battery gage icon like the Classic has was chosen. That one works pretty good for me.
Also looks like there is a sort of IQ function running in the background that will limit power to 30 watts and also alert to check all connections if the device detects that the battery isn't performing up to snuff.

This one ticks a lot of boxes for my likes. Especially the aesthetics :thumb:

Looks nice. My only concern is that I'm currently using a Releaux with 3 18650's and the batteries are typically drained about halfway through the day (6 hours) at 50 watts. I'd be changing batteries every 2 hours with the Procyon, which means I'd have to carry 6-8 batteries with me all the time.

okay, i think i'm gonna buy this but I have a question.

1. does this have that same battery IQ function that so many people were having issues/problems with in the P3?

2. is it a screw on battery end cap? If so, will it have that carbon build up issue where you need to apply Noalox to the threading just to make it smooth again?

Yes, we talked about that :) and I agree, it's exciting stuff!!

No spring to adjust
No spring to replace
4x better connection
Slightly longer cap is easier to grip
The list goes on.

I think it's time for a .....

So, technical minds want to know -- how does it keep tension on the battery without a spring? It's a very nice design and I will no doubt convert my stable over, but the nerd in me is trying to figure it out. A tapered shape can create pressure in a wedge situation but since the bottom of the battery is flat...

Is there another piece much like the Radius uses? Or are the dimensions so precise that it automatically takes up all the empty space and locks the battery in place? Or neither?

Yeah, I know. I'm like a mosquito. I'm sure you have a lot to do considering you've just launched a new product but if you find some time down the road I'd appreciate a bit of tech talk.

Satin Silver Procyon is on its way! I'm anxious to get this guy and top it with my favorite direct lung tank, the Aspire Cleito. Awesome tank that uses 0.4Ω coils.

I sincerely hope the Procyon will handle it...All three of my Radii give me the "High Output" warning on the Cleito coils at any wattage above 28 watts. Grrrr....the Radius is supposed to fire down to 0.3Ω up to 40W.

Anyhoo, I'm glad to see the Procyon come along --- Finally, a regulated tube from Provape for the non-tootle puffer!

Forget all the tech talk...

I just wanna know how to pronounce the name!
I'm sure it's a game of toe-may-toe vs. toe-mah-toe...like Pro-vah-ree vs. Pro-vair-ee...

I read Procyon as: Pro-see-awn.
However, I've got an amateur astrology lover friend, who pronounces the star's name as: Pro-sigh-awn.

So whadda-we got @Vape360?

Question I got.......Why does Procyon have more wattage than the Radius. When both uses the same battery? Just due to the battery cap? And not end user upgradable, total deal breaker over here. Not to mention, love the Radius too much. My P3 works great as a backup, which doesn't get used very often.

I, for one, would never want them to lose that capability.

Would this work on existing P3's or does this new cap work on the Procyon only?
