Seems like a good review. Told me what I wanted to know about the numbers. It was his review showing the accuracy of the 2.5 that got me to buy them. I'm kinda glad he waited for the updates. He is one of the only reviewers to test the electrical properties of a device. Some people won't care, some people will. I found the info very useful. I don't really care about his personal opinions. I can form my own.

I enjoy the accuracy analysis too. Maybe I'm a geek. But I didn't need to see it on this review as I know proVape will have highly accurate/consistent electronics which Phil proved a long time ago with ProVape. But he did answer my questions about the boost which I enjoyed.

I think he did a good job of identifying potential users for the device as well, taking great care to deflect the expected flak from those whose requirements it doesn't meet. Overall a good review, it's nice to see a balanced perspective for a change.

Yes. If you're into temp control or high power vaping look elsewhere.

And while they're at it, keep their comments to themselves too. We've heard it all. :)

Boost five watts, trickle charge if battery under voltage condition, positive terminal thermal monitoring while charging, covered the graph of the available power throughout the range, and gave props to the manual/auto menu. I'm glad he didn't cover it before the menu update.

I'm not so sure why people are down on his reviews. In my opinion, he's one of the few prolific reviewers still interested in lower wattage vaping and MTL attys. Sure, some of his reviews may be better than others, but I've not seen a more in depth review from any other YouTube personalty. Power curves, trickle charging, etc...

And to those who say it's too late to be useful, I highly disagree. ProVape has a slower release cycle than many other manufacturers. In that sense, the review came out with plenty of time until Radius end of life. Im still waiting to pull the trigger, and when I heard his review was going to come out soon, I figured I'd wait.

I'm not seeing people being down on Phil's reviews. Everyone gets what they want out of them. I was complimentary of his review. The review might not be too late for some but I maintain it is too late for most....including those who already bought one or went on to something else. The purpose of a review is to assess the product before you buy it. It would be like me reviewing a movie that was released six months ago. Maybe OK for the cable crowd but not the movie enthusiasts who go to the theater to see it.

Overall a good review. He looked at every aspect of the Radius and left nothing unsaid. As with all reviews you can either agree or disagree with his opinions. But he covered all the bases well and was more alert in this review than he was in his recent Kayfun Mini V3 review where he seemed off his game. But bottom line a review is suppose to be for those contemplating purchasing the item. The Radius has been out a good while now and that's why I say it's way too late for the masses who already own a Radius or bypassed it for something else. Yes, ProVape wanted to get him the software upgrade...fine. But still too late whatever the reason. Reviewing stuff that has been out as long as the Radius has is more entertainment to most people than it is useful. Just my opinion. But a good, solid, thorough review of the Radius...irrespective of whether you agree or disagree with his opinions.

A pretty good review. I know he got an updated version, but I wished he had said something more about doing the v20 update because it did help a lot.

Actually, he had Version 19 and updated it to Version 20 and he showed you how to go online and do it.

I agree on the in depth review part -- it's good to see that the reviewer has actually used the mod and I really like the testing and charts that Phil does. I rarely watch any reviews -- as most are really just "first looks".

I never watched his P3 review, so I didn't realize how much he disliked the scrolling menu. I may be rare, but I prefer it. I also happen to love the non clicky big button. :thumb:

It was kind of funny to me how poly made it feel cheap (or similar wording) and he really wishes it was all metal, but couldn't help but say how nice it was to hold. Confused maybe?

We all have opinions. I'm glad Phil always states when they are opinions.

And that's how you have to watch these reviews. Much of it is opinion and we can agree or disagree. In many cases I find the thumbs down to be too petty to mention but they got to have enough stuff to talk about. :)

I thought one of the better parts of his vid is when he explained the bottom cover...what it is and why. The Radius was not designed for cloud chasers. It was designed for light/medium vapers. There is no reason to have to remove the battery until the battery is permanently dead (once a year maybe). The charge will last the entire day and can be recharged overnight. If you're running the battery out on a daily basis then you should have bought one of those high powered mods with two batteries and/or easier battery access. Phil did an excellent job explaining this.

Completely agree. While some may argue that he goes into way too much detail (they want an overall thumbs up or down), I believe the way Phil reviews provides his experiences, opinions and then states his overall belief, allowing for the potential purchaser to make an informed decision. Plus, I'm a geek and love his charts and graphs :)

While I'm still trying to decide which custom Radius I'm going to order, I've used a couple that belonged to friends and am still confused by the poly and how it makes the Radius feel. On one hand, it's not nearly as heavy as I expected - which I think can give the potential "cheap" feel. But on the other, it's solid in hand and feels sturdy. It's very confusing at first, though I've decided I really like it!

Right!? I've yet to find any other review that actually understands that the purpose of the user serviceable battery is to swap it out when it's no longer holding sufficient charge. It's a mod that's meant to charge the battery. All the benefits of a sealed (LiPo) mod, but you don't have to send it in to get service! A real win for me.

Exactly! And a well-thought out design by ProVape. In my mind, it should have been a solid thumbs up yet every review I have seen gives it a thumbs down. They completely miss the point of why it was designed the way it was. Phil said it but still gave it a thumbs down (if I recall) Again, I find the design VERY thoughtful.

Guess I will have to watch some of it. I like them from time to time. Apparently they do not sway my opinion on what to buy.

I do like the battery design myself. I do change the battery from time to time. Like when I forget to charge mid day. (I am a heavy vaper) I prefer my radius. My 2.5's are for home use.

The Radius was designed as an internal battery operation. Yet they simplified it such that the effort to swap out the battery was minimized in the event the user wanted to put in a fresh battery. That is the beauty of the design. Compare it to any other internal battery mod and all the others are far more difficult to change out the battery,

I think the battery plate was absolute genius. Took the spring right out of the equation. I do change my battery occasionally without worry, in fact, I'm taking a short trip back home in a couple days and plan to rely solely on the Radius W/Kabuki to get me through it. I'll be toting an extra battery just because I will not be entirely in control of my schedule.

I'm glad Phil's video aired today and answered my question in detail regarding the onboard charger and mentioning the thermal monitoring, I will charge it at night, and not worry about it. I have a very real paranoia pertaining to this issue (non-issue), brought about from real life experiences.

I had to go back to the review. What he said was nothing about it made it feel cheap. Hard to hear, easy to misunderstand. It happens just under 32 minutes into the review.

Check again, he referenced the body on several occasions in the review. Don't remember the exact words but he indicated it was something less than desirable (if not cheap).
