"Even with the Polycarbonite shell, makes it feel cheap in the hand, but again I would like this to be metal..." is the words used at 32 minutes.

And yes, you should watch it again -- at just after the 32 minute mark. ;)
My ears might be screwed up but I'd swear he says nothing, even with the polycarbonate shell, makes it feel cheap in the hand. Try just a few seconds earlier than 32 min.

Check again, he referenced the body on several occasions in the review. Don't remember the exact words but he indicated it was something less than desirable (if not cheap).

All he really said about the polycarb body was that for the price of the device, he'd prefer a metal body. And then proceeded to rave about the feel and sturdiness of the poly. Silly Philly.

That said, did it sound to anyone else like he's been lurking this thread? He literally mentioned every single issue (or non-issue) that's been raised and beaten into the ground in this thread, including the recent kerfuffle about USB charging the device and whether it was safe to do so overnight.

C'mon Phil, say hi. We won't bite.

Hard. ;)

Yes --- after re-checking again and again, it does seem he essentially says that nothing about the mod makes it feel cheap in the hand. (at that about 32 minute mark)

I do agree with that!

It was also his first thumbs down that it isn't metal......I guess he likes truly heavy (and cold at first touch) mods.

He had as many good things to say about the poly body as he had bad. I was never sure exactly where he stood on that issue.

You know, come to think of it, you are absolutely right! Hi Phil! :headbang: As I watched the review I was fiddling with Radius1 and noted this....reminded me it's my precious!

He did say just that. "Nothing, even with the polycarbonate shell, makes it feel cheap in the hand." He repeated later that he really liked the way it felt when holding it, and that it was comfortable to fire. I do think his midnight blue was topped with a Ti Kabuki ;)!

Does anyone have problems with the Radius charging batteries after they have been depleted? I generally have to change batteries once a battery is depleted as it refuses to charge off of my Vita Charger, my phone charger or the original charger (I am using higher amp usb to wall adapter, USB 3.0 on the back of my PC and the charging base for my Vita charger)

If you're running v19 with the battery drain issue, the battery can be undervolted to the point standard chargers will not charge it. The Radius however will charge it very, very slowly at first, then kick in to a full charge. I've tested and experienced it when I let mine sit too long.

I think it took some guts for ProVape to go with polycarbonate for the Radius. They must have known a lot of people equate "road hugging weight" with quality, even though there is no correlation. This is not cheap plastic they are using here. It's not going to flex in your hand like alot of those plastic battery covers on the imports.
