In case it helps, I got the 60w midnight blue with gunmetal finish. It may look better with the standard metal finishes. ESP with my top fill Avocado rta (which I love). Here's a pic:View attachment 584251
Really sharp setup, Truth. It is really dark, and the dark blue shows better in your photo than on the PV site! Maybe if I watch less Game of Thrones for a while I'll like it more. Still too dark for my collection. To put it differently, PV's color choice in the two colors left to me are Casterly Rock and the Dreadfort; I want River Run and High Garden.

It's not so simple and I'm not sure it's the truth. As proud of their product as the Pro Vape engineers must be, I'd seriously doubt that any would agree with your statement.

While I like each of my Provaris a lot, I think there are others who also do a superlative job. For instance, Dicodes. Everyone has opinions, but to me the Dicodes are clearly smoother and as accurate as my Provaris. I've yet to speak with anyone, who after using a Dicodes, hasn't agreed with my opinion.

For Asian mods, the Yihi chip is very, very good also. It might be a touch less smooth (so close I can't really make up my mind) but it also does a great job of temp control - or "temp guessing" if you must.

But if you're talking the mainstream mods, Provari is at the very top and miles ahead of Sigelei, Kanger, smok, and all the rest of the "mods of the week" club coming from China.

I know you sometimes have tunnel vision regarding Pro Vape and I don't disagree that it's an exceptionally good device. But as good as it is, "best in the industry" is a bit of a stretch to me. And I realize this is a Pro Vape-sponsored medium, but I think we can educate new users and share our admiration without having to resort to puffery. I suppose it's hitting a nerve for me due to all the campaign ads I've suffered through.

I think this is a nice and balanced view. If I was a non Provari user, I would read this and think, it was very positive towards Provari and may push me to purchase one.

I do have a P3 and Radius and they are exceptional, I have a dicodes and it is also exceptional. I wouldn't like to be without either...horses for courses :)

I'm all about matchy-matchy rigs. My sweet hubby all but ordered me to put one more Radius in the cart, and I'm completely stuck as well.

I have stealth, ghost/bronze, and grapey/stainless paired with no or nearly no glass toppers that nearly match the finishes. I also have a couple black 'bukis and stainless KayFun v4 w/bell cap kits in route. I don't like how the midnight blue and red look, because they're so dark. I'd choose the bronze for both of those, but they come off as Game of Thrones, and I want more What Dreams May Come. Even so, they'd look amazing, especially if topped with copper or brass that will slowly darken.

I love how my pairings have turned out, but I'm a poor pretender compared to @Katdarling . She is the absolute best person for this job. :)

Yikes, moi? You sound like you have de-Throned me, Karen! :D (pretty pics, please if I've missed them? I've not been on this thread in like...... forever!!)

Lately tho, in terms of dress up, I've been remiss. Instead, I've been all about does it leak, is it full, did I charge that batt, do I have at least 3 in my purse???

I'm sure someone can give you a much more complex answer, but the simple truth is Provape chips are the most accurate in the industry. They regulate the voltage consistently, meaning no matter how much charge is left in your battery, as long as there is a charge left, the vape will be as consistent as it was when the battery was freshly charge. And when you set your Provari to 10 or 50 watts, you're getting exactly what you set it to. Your DNA chip isn't nearly as refined or precise.

I was completely OK with this until the last sentence. The DNA chip is very precise, the voltage is flat and the chip is much more flexible and configurable with eScribe. Even the Pico is extremely accurate.

Does anyone know what the differences are in a DNA40 chip versus the Provape chip in the Radius?

I have both devices and using the same coil, at the same wattage, my Radius is always a smoother and less harsh vape. I am wondering why? I am not smart enough to figure it out on my own! ;););)

I have few 40 watt devices. My first mod after my P3 was a Vaporshark DNA40. I still use it and love it. I also vade a Solara DNA 40 from Beyond Vape and while its kinda big for what it is its great. Then I have the Radius. I will be the first to admit I cant tell a huge difference between any of them. They all go up to 40 watts and have been very reliable with the exception of the Solara DNA40. It stopped working but it was under warranty (I think) but they gave me a new one. No other issues since.

But yeah I am with you...I am sure there are differences in the chips but as the end user I cant really tell.

good morning guys!
I am using my Radius around 1 months with Kabuki Tank. I need some advise from you guys, i want to increase the Watts, what "premium" tank should i use? I really want to vapour? (sorry for my english) a lot.

Thanks

welcome! I have used the CoV Vengeance with the .8 ohm coil, the Nautilis X, Crown with good success. Mainly I would make sure you have the right coil.

I'm sure someone else can chime in with better options and advice. Great question. Again welcome!

I am inclined to agree, especially when one factors in customer service and firmware updates. I really like my Vaporshark DNA200 and my SX Mini 'Q Class' which I use on a regular basis. That said, any ProVari, especially with a Kabuki tank, plays second fiddle to none, imho.

Are you looking for something with pre-made coils or a re-build able tank. Are you looking mouth to lung or direct lung? If rebuildable and MTL I recommend a Kayfun mini V3.

When I am vaping at higher wattage, I almost always use a Crown or Kanger Subtamk Mini. Both are amazing tanks and the RBAs are super simple to build.

Oh, Kayfun Lite Plus tanks for lower wattage.

For me, low wattage = 12-15w, high wattage = 30-50w.

As usual, I'm really late to the party. I'm reading over the software updates, and just want to make sure I'm reading this correctly. Coil control is temp control?

Ironically, as one of the people who really wanted this feature, in real life, of 5 tc devices I own, I've only used it on 1 of them. The Evic VT benefited from setting it on higher watts. Is the same true here? My question realty is do I buy a 40W or 60W Radius? I'm never even going to vape 40W.

Yes, coil control is in essence TC. I beta tested it for a few weeks before it was released. Not sure how I feel about it though. I found it to be a warmer vape, but not necessarily a better vape. Since I'm a 10 watt vapor, I'm back to using watts myself. As to your question about 40 vs 60, only you can know if you'll ever need the extra watts. If you're sure you won't, I wouldn't spend the extra money on something you won't use.

I'm not sure how I feel about temp control either, but it might be different when it's done correctly. And, I also tend to get things cuz I can, which means a purple 60W Radius is likely to complete my collection. :)

I don't have any other TC devices to compare how Provape did it compared to anyone else. I think they did put a lot of thought into the type of coil being used. You certainly have a lot of setting flexibility with how Provape set it up.

Hi! To be honest i dont know yet, maybe i will try direct lung. But from other side, i might stick with MTL. If its possible could you give me both variations?
Also if it possible i would like to taste the liquids as much as possible (around 20-35w)

I vape MTL at 15w. For me there is no better rebuildable tank than the Kayfun Mini V3. I got a Kayfun 5 and it was too airy for me so I had to buy the MTL restrictor kit from them as well. I now like the 5. As I don't sub ohm, nor chase clouds, I can really add anything there.
