On a different note I pulled out my old P3 nautilus tank today. Was my very first tank I owned (as was the P3). On my Radius I have used the Kabuki and Nautilus X. My old P3 Nautilus is great. Works like a champ. Luckily when I bought it I got a second one thats still new in the box. I wish I could still find these.

Yeah its bottom fill but so is the Kabuki. Actually looks really good on the Radius and have been using it the last few days.

Well the upside of a lot of bottom fill tanks is that you can literally pour from any bottle. I love top fill but not when it's implemented poorly or adds a ton of space. So far I think the cloud one tank had the best - I think Erlk did it before them. Top cap that remains on and you unscrew a hair to align fill holes. No point in having to remove he entire cap. Drill some holes!

There are sommevery poor top fill I some
Very popular tanks. The pico is one. Four holes. All too small for unicorn bottles and receded from the top in a small well. Effectively you have to remove the top and use needle top bottles. So give me easy bottom fill any day over decanting all
My juices to syringes and new bottles. I guess I'm
In the minority that I use 120 ml bottles typically. But still even dripper bottles of you have to align them within .1% it's not a good design.

Point being old methods are sometimes better :) if the new way doesn't save time why bother. And unscrewing s cap is the same as a tank and the tanks I can pour :)

Hi Garibaldi, maybe I have the wrong name, but i think you mentioned you have 12 ProVaris + and you're vaping 0mg? I'm just curious, you like vaping that much just for the sake of vaping? I've gone from 36mg/ml on really awful blu ecigs in 2009, down to 3mg when i chain-vape while working, or 6mg when I just stop every so often to take a few hits and then set it down. I like nicotine and have really no plans on ever quitting it, anymore than caffeine, but I'm not sure I'd keep vaping if I hit 0mg.

Did you taper down to 0 and just keep going and that works for you, or?

No I don't own that many ProVari's. I wish. Haha!

I started vaping because I liked the flavor. Same reason why I used to smoke pipe tobacco. So I am at 0mg nic. I guess I did it in reverse where many are quitting cigarettes. I used to smoke at one time but not very long.

The action of vaping is just as important as the nicotine, if not more so. IMO.

That's exactly it for me. When I did smoke I sure didn't do it for flavor. I like the act of smoking.

That's why I like vaping. It's enjoyable to me. Plus a lot of the flavors I like tend to satisfy my sweet tooth when I get one.

That's cool, since going over to 95% DIY with vapocalypse approaching, about half the time I'm just going with nude/no flavoring, but the other half, i really enjoy vaping ice cream donuts, twinkles and ice cream, cake with extra frosting, all kinds of stuff that'd probably make me gain 20lbs a year if i wasn't vaping it instead :D

I built a new Goblin Mini v2 today, my very first dualie, and with SS as a first too! Comes in at .50, and CC rocks!! Unfortunately @h00ligan the build I made with SS on a copper gennie with mesh (an older mesh, thoroughly oxidized) won't work on any setting, nor on a Pico in TC mode. Works great in watts mode, at least! I'm wondering if the SS mesh is arcing from connecting with the copper interior of the atty, although it still didn't work when I pulled it out so it wouldn't touch the bottom, and I've had zero problems with Kanthal.

60 Radius review. Upgraded to the 3000 battery. Fully charged on 7.21.16, which was the day I received it. I rotate among a few other Provari throughout the day, but I have been favoring the new guy. I am still 75% charged. 10 watts. 1.8 ohm topped with a Kabuki. I like the new Radius.

Ya couldn't-a been remember anything I've said here, cuz I ain't-a been around these parts for some time...

But I did have somethin' to say on what yer speakin' on here:

I've been vaping since early-middle 2010.

I done seen it all. (Sarcasm)
And over that time, I've collected myself 10 Provari, a Mark Bugs WAEII, and a half dozen Billet Boxes (those all came home within the last two months cuz I kinda got bit by the BBox bug hard)...
Anywho...
I fully plan on ordering a 60W Radius (Maybe two, maybe more).
Why does this relate to your post?
Because I've tapered off to 0mg.
And I stepped off the Nic train in April 2014.
I started at 24mg, and then quit smoking completely. Not too long after, I fell in love with 16mg.
The problem with 16mg is that it quickly became an unpopular strength, for reasons only known to the powers that be.
So, rather than face another large drop, down to 12mg...I stepped back up to 18mg.
Eventually I worked down to 12mg, followed by 6mg.
When I hit 3mg, in late 2013, I finally had one night on the couch where I hadn't vaped in a few hours cuz I was distracted by other things. I picked up my tootler, took a puff, and about 5min later I felt the nicotine hit my heart.
Nothing bad happened, except I became consciously aware of the effect nicotine was having on my body. Faster heart rate, I felt a little cooler in temp, and I had the head rush us smokers/vapers know too well.

I didn't hate it, but it made me feel like maybe it was time to step off. So I tried. I dipped my toes in the 0mg waters...and I hated it. Back up to 3mg I went.

Come April 2014, I tried it again, and it stuck.
A couple of months later, I realized my all-day-vapes weren't tasting the same. That's when I learned about two critical parts of vaping.
1. Vaper's tongue. The loss of the ability to taste your favorite juices, usually overcome by a little as drinking some water, to brushing your teeth, and staved off by rotating a few juices regularly.
2. Nicotine adds a big part of the flavor, for many juices.
This was a double edged sword that threatened to kill my favorite hobby.
But I've overcome this by rotating through flavors and devices, and careful selection of flavors that work for me in 0mg. Not a single one of my current favorites came from my Nic days. They've all be curated from my current Nic-free vape style.

(Side note: Lately, I've been really into the JUUL. Yes it's got nicotine, and it's potent, but I only puff it a few times a day. It's not what keeps me vaping.)

I have vaped nicotine before. However it was an accident! I ordered a juice online and I didnt notice but one of the bottles was 3mg nic. So without paying attention I filled up a tank and took a nice long direct to lung hit....and was horrified. I knew right away something was wrong. And that was just 3 mg. I cant imagine 6 or more.

Nicotine ruins the flavor for me....BUT keep in mind I am going about this in reverse. Most people probably smoked cigarettes and moved to vaping and lowering the nic. I started at 0mg. And yeah I love baked goods so I vape flavors like that and it does help me from going and eating a handful of cookies sometimes! ;)

You are right about there being some poor top fill designs on the market. I have a few. Some are great and make life easy and some cause me fits. Now tanks like the Kabuki, CoV Vengeance, and my Nautilus P3 which are all bottom fill are fantastic and worth the effort to bottom fill.

GP tanks are bottom fill too and if they change it and it's not great I'll be bummed! I think some designers are against it due to blowing the streamlining or adding size. Bt there are enough tanks showing it can be done well. The mark bugs gem top fill is good , better on the titanium and v2, but honestly I would have rather seen two holes in the top cap. I'm sure that was avoided for looks.

So a quick side bar re color choices.

Does anyone here consider themselves to be of above average taste in color Matching - do
Your vaping friends always comment on your tank and mod combos ? Do you agonize of colors before ordering ? If so
I could use some feedback on an upcoming purchase. I typically choose the ck is that make
My direness say wow but for this buy I just can't figure it out. If you have some free time and think give for great taste and want to help me decide - pm me please!!

Does anyone know what the differences are in a DNA40 chip versus the Provape chip in the Radius?

I have both devices and using the same coil, at the same wattage, my Radius is always a smoother and less harsh vape. I am wondering why? I am not smart enough to figure it out on my own! ;););)

I'm sure someone can give you a much more complex answer, but the simple truth is Provape chips are the most accurate in the industry. They regulate the voltage consistently, meaning no matter how much charge is left in your battery, as long as there is a charge left, the vape will be as consistent as it was when the battery was freshly charge. And when you set your Provari to 10 or 50 watts, you're getting exactly what you set it to. Your DNA chip isn't nearly as refined or precise.

Great job RyBryLawDudeGuy!

One of the other reasons, that the Provape chipsets are so fantastical, is that they fire at a better frequency. 800mHz or just 800Hz, forget which one. This produces a "white noise" sound when the atomizer is firing.
To contrast, most other devices use a 33.3Hz/whatev pulse, which makes the infamous rattlesnake sound when the atomizer is firing.
I don't know what the DNA uses, but it ain't as great as the Provape chip!
Example: I can get a great vape at 10 watts (or equivalent volts) on my Provape devices. But to get that same vape, when I put the same atomizer on my Mark Bugs WAEII, I have to fire it at 15 watts.
Mathematicians, please take the microphone, for I know not why I experience these things the way I do.

Not all my stuff matches. But I do have a few things I purposely matched. Like my ghost white Radius has a ti Kabuki and I swapped out the black o-rings for clear ones and it looks pretty slick. On my stainless Procyon and P3 my tanks I use are stainless so the match nice.

on my Vaporshark DNA 40 I use whatever. I do t obsess over matching but I do like whatever I am using to look good.

I'm all about matchy-matchy rigs. My sweet hubby all but ordered me to put one more Radius in the cart, and I'm completely stuck as well.

I have stealth, ghost/bronze, and grapey/stainless paired with no or nearly no glass toppers that nearly match the finishes. I also have a couple black 'bukis and stainless KayFun v4 w/bell cap kits in route. I don't like how the midnight blue and red look, because they're so dark. I'd choose the bronze for both of those, but they come off as Game of Thrones, and I want more What Dreams May Come. Even so, they'd look amazing, especially if topped with copper or brass that will slowly darken.

I love how my pairings have turned out, but I'm a poor pretender compared to @Katdarling . She is the absolute best person for this job. :)

In case it helps, I got the 60w midnight blue with gunmetal finish. It may look better with the standard metal finishes. ESP with my top fill Avocado RTA (which I love). Here's a pic:

...but the simple truth is Provape chips are the most accurate in the industry.

It's not so simple and I'm not sure it's the truth. As proud of their product as the Pro Vape engineers must be, I'd seriously doubt that any would agree with your statement.

While I like each of my Provaris a lot, I think there are others who also do a superlative job. For instance, Dicodes. Everyone has opinions, but to me the Dicodes are clearly smoother and as accurate as my Provaris. I've yet to speak with anyone, who after using a Dicodes, hasn't agreed with my opinion.

For Asian mods, the Yihi chip is very, very good also. It might be a touch less smooth (so close I can't really make up my mind) but it also does a great job of temp control - or "temp guessing" if you must.

But if you're talking the mainstream mods, Provari is at the very top and miles ahead of Sigelei, Kanger, Smok, and all the rest of the "mods of the week" club coming from China.

I know you sometimes have tunnel vision regarding Pro Vape and I don't disagree that it's an exceptionally good device. But as good as it is, "best in the industry" is a bit of a stretch to me. And I realize this is a Pro Vape-sponsored medium, but I think we can educate new users and share our admiration without having to resort to puffery. I suppose it's hitting a nerve for me due to all the campaign ads I've suffered through.

Thanks for 'splaining to all us low folks, @GeekyGeezer. No really. However did we make a decision without your, er, puffery.
