Re: 60 watt vs 40 watt :2c:
My question is, for the little difference in price, why not? You just never know with this looming vapocalypse what you might up needing. I don't plan on ever getting a Radius for myself (Jackie has one) but plan on getting a Military Ti P3 for Christmas. I never gone over 15 watts but will be getting the 30 watt version. Why not?

Hey all, I have a question. I may be style-challenged as I bought a Radius in the midnight blue with gunmetal finish. Very dark, and it makes the body look black. Then, a few months later, I bought the purple, and may have had too much wine, cuz I went with the bronze finish. It looks regal, like a French prince!
I started to realize that they'd pull be mich better if I switched the colors with the other one.
So my question is, would it be possible to switch the metal frames or the bodies without sending it back to ProVape?

Any thoughts on that much appreciated.
I wouldn't but maybe someone else has a different idea.

Nope, according to Provape that is not possible. This question was asked of them when the customized build your Radius option was released.

I use the radius more than my other Provari devices for sure. It is just so convenient to use the USB charger! Though I did just get a Provari classic with an extension ring because a smaller battery just doesn't last long enough for me.
I am that lazy. :)

How are you liking the Radius?

Curious, Jim
G'day Jim (good to know your real name mate :) )
It feels perfect in my hand, and is not quite as heavy as my beautiful Procyon.

Fits in my jeans pocket better than the Procyon too, and I don't need to worry about accidental fire button presses..so I'm thinking it will become my daily "out and about" mod.

The fit and finish is as expected. flawless!

And even though the cabernet red was my third choice, it really is a beautiful colour. Pics don't do it justice.

It's only been in my hands for a few hours so far, but I'm over the moon happy with my decision to buy it.

And I've just edited this post to say a Huge Thanks to Y'all who gave me a gentle nudge to buy a Radius based on your first hand experience.

MUCH Appreciation!

Nice set ups there @iBloke. The Radius is tough to beat. My favorite feature is the boost mode. Make sure you check that out. Enjoy!
Thanks mate.
Yep I use the boost mode on my Kayfun tank, although only boost setting 1 or 2 which seems to kick the .5 ohm coil alive a bit quicker so I don't need to hold my finger on the trigger for as long.

I'm reluctant to use the Boost mode at all on my Kabuki due to the aspire coils developing a burnt flavour quickly even on low watt settings.

Horses for courses so to speak.

Cheers Mike :)

@ENAUD , about this:
ProChat - All Things ProVape and Beyond

Yeah, nice idea, but I feel I shouldn't be doing this for a 220 buck mod, a ProVape mod.

Thanks,
R
I used to feel the same way R, then I realized that it's really not ProVapes fault that 510 threaded atties have such a vast degree of variances. I use the shims to protect my devices as much as get rid of gaps, I like my atties to be snug, so that they won't wobble and cause wear of the threads of both.

The 510 connection was a poor choice for the market to stick with, there is no standard specs for length of connector that exists. A spring loaded center pin is a poor way to make it work, as the spring can introduce resistance into the circuit, and would have greater potential for leakage as well. I think the grommet supported center pin that they decided on was a good compromise, it allows some give, unlike the old fixed pin the slant top devices had, but retains the solid conductivity and leak resistance.

Hi all,

Quick question...I have a Radius and the button throw catches just a slight bit. It is intermittent, but a little annoying compared to the smoothness on my other Radius.

Are my only options to a) ignore it or b) send it in to Provape?

Thank you!

Have you tried a shot of canned air around the edges of the button? Just yesterday I freed up a stuck button on a mixer using that method.

I did definitely do just that. I got a bit of relief, but it was still not quite right. So, I sent it in to Provape. I have no worries that I will get it back in short order with the problem resolved.

Thanks for the idea...it's one that solves many a problem.

This is the exact reason for the gap issue on some mods and no connection on others. There is no set spec for a 510 connector other than the thread size. Length varies way too much. If you grind on anything grind the atty not the mod.
