I had a Radius/Kabuki combo but fell out of love with it when I got one of the last 2.5 Ti Provaris. vaping 11w (about the max on a Kabuki anyway) seemed like a waste on a 40w mod, and it was a little brick, the Ti felt like balsa wood in comparison. So I had the first Radius sold in the classies.

Of course, my tune may change when my first rebuildable ever comes in sometime this month, but I will try to build ~1.5 ohm coils so hopefully I wont miss the extra power. The RDA and RTA I have coming in are titanium, so they will be great on the Ti. I imagine the Radius would be great if I were a direct lung vaper that used all sub-ohm stuff. Also, if Aspire ever goes all-in on sub-ohm and quits making Nautilus coils...
I use Kayfun 4's and a Russian 91% coiled to 1.8Ω and the 2.5 runs them fine. Using a smaller gauge Kanthal (28ga) they heat up fast. The Kayfun manual list a 20 watt max with the standard deck insulator. I don't run my rebuildables any higher than my Kabuki's. I don't think you'll miss the extra power unless you build with heavier wire.

Well, some are displayed in museums from time to time. I'm now retired for medical reasons. I do know if I wanted to buy one back, the prices on the collector market has gone crazy. Never thought they would be being traded and sold for thousands of dollars each. They were designed to be used, by adventurers, Sportsmen, and Combat. Never thought they would become such High End collector's Items.
I sure couldn't' afford one!:lol: Nor did I get any where near the Big Bucks they are bringing today. It does feel good to have your work so appreciated though.

I know nothing about knives. Those are beautiful works of art. Just had to let you know the quality shines through, even to someone who has no idea what purpose those knives are for. Things of beauty.

I have found a way to save for my Radius without even missing it! I have found a grocery rebate app that will put rebates in your account for a lot of stuff I already buy. So that right there will be my Radius saving account! Already got 40 bucks in there so I should have one in a couple of months!

A couple of days ago, I built a .75 ohm coil for my KF4, which I'm vaping at 17W. I don't sub-ohm that much, but will experiment with this setup for a couple of weeks. So far, I'm enjoying slightly more warmth and increased vapor production.

You might want to check your KF4 manual. Both of mine show a minimum resistance of 1Ω, max power of 20 watts. Yours might be different tho. A friend of mine melted his deck insulator using low res coils. Kayfun has a higher temp PEEK insulator available, but it doesn't have the lip on the top like the standard insulator. I think the lip keeps the deck from turning. 17 watts would be about .29 amps over the limit Svoemesto set. I'd like to think they left some wiggle room but you seem to be alittle high. Watch your insulator for heat stress.

So MaSheSo! Our favorite place puts Kimchi, pork belly (so crisp, yet luscious inside) and then you add things you want, such as beef tenderloin, jumbo shrimp, chicken etc., and it's just luscious. Spensive too, but oh so good!

Adorable!

And now I'll see your "baby's first ramen," and raise you a bacon!

(I'm pretty sure I still make this same face every time, even at age 40.)

That is GREAT!!!

Thanks!

Jim

PS You have given me an idea for an addition to my Ramen... B A C O N ! ! !

Oh yeah, I'm monitoring in very closely. I've read on a few sites that you can safely go to about .8 ohm with the KF4, although Svoemesto doesn't recommend going lower that 1.0. I plan on checking the deck after I finish the juice that's currently in the tank.

I regularly build down to around 0.8 ohm on my v4 with the stock insulator, and I haven't had any issues to date. My current build is 0.9 ohm, and I'm running it at 20W with no complaints. Except maybe that I'd like to be able to actually taste the vapor. Stupid sinuses.

Does my battery life sound right?

.65ohm
15.0w
I am getting thru one subtank mini fill (5ml?) and the battery is empty.

And yes, the battery is fully charged(at least the blue LED is off). I am using the stock battery.

Figured out my problem in case anyone is interested or has the same issues...it's not in my head.
My Radius has "parasitic drain"...not sure what caused this.(it's most likely caused by a bad component on board but don't know the name..ie capacitor/resistor/etc)

No atty attached: (not being used at all, sitting on shelf)
4.19v@ noon
4.11v@ 9pm
monitoring resumes

Not worried about it now... Provape will get it sorted out.

Don't all mods?

Is it turned of or on?

Would it be different with an atty attached?

Thanks, Jim
