The P3 510 connection is stuck to my tank!

Troubleshooting / Miscellaneous Problems
Our first suggestion is to take a small coin and insert it into the wells on the bottom of the 510 ring. You can then use the coin as leverage to twist the ring counterclockwise and remove the 510 ring. If you are having a hard time gripping the bottom of the tank, try using the bottom of a mouse pad to hold the bottom of the tank while you twist the ring off.
If that doesn't work, then try putting the tank into the freezer for about 5 - 10 minutes and try again. The cold air will make the metal contract and may loosen it just enough to twist off. You can then use the coin as leverage to twist the ring counterclockwise and remove the 510 ring.
If you are still unable to remove the 510 ring, then our last suggestion is to start off by putting the tank back onto the P3. You should see a gap between the beauty ring and the top of the P3. Using a mouse pad or something with a soft grip, turn the beauty ring clockwise to tighten it back down and relieve the pressure. You should then be able to remove the tank like normal.
In the future, to avoid this from happening again, take note of where you're gripping your tank to remove it from the top of your P3. If you're removing the beauty ring and the tank at the same time, you'll likely run into the same situation where the threads lock up.
This is because the 510 threading on your tank and the threading on the beauty ring move at different rates. When you remove both together, the ring moves up quicker than the tank, causing pressure on the threading and the locking you've experienced.
If you successfully have the threading removed from the tank and on your P3, I would also suggest taking a small coin (I use a penny) to tighten the inner thread ring onto your P3. Don't worry, it can take a bit of pressure without any damage. This will prevent the threading from coming off too easily when you remove your tank.
After giving these suggestions a try, if you are still unable to remove the 510 ring from your tank, contact our customer service team by submitting a ticket and we can arrange for a repair if necessary.

* Red text, the threads of the 510 and the beauty ring have different pitch rates, this is why the locking action occurs. If they needed to put this on the contact us page, there must be more than a few people experiencing this isuue.
Opening a ticket, yes, sending it in might be the easiest option for most folks, and Provape can afford to muscle those rings off, toss them in the trash, and slap a fresh one back on there and ship it back. They've got thousands of them little rings
