Good thought - appreciated! Problem is that the fault occurs with nothing connected to the P3 on the Radius - HIGH CURRENT / change atty. The P3 connector is clean and open - there should be zero current flowing in that state. The ohm meter showed 1.6 ohms across the Kabuki P3 connection, so it's not shorted.

How about the battery and/or battery compartment? Might be something going on there.

I hope you insured it when you mailed it, Lem ... we would hate to hear, it got lost in the mail
The red one, or the blue one. Seems to be some confusion as to what color Radius was purchased  This is going to be fun to watch play out.

<Shug> If I recall correctly, Lem's been vocal about ProVape devices not meeting his needs, but the one that was sent back by his girlfriend was due to her not liking it, not because there was anything wrong with it. Just because my Radius got here fine, doesn't mean his did. I had to send one of my 2.5s back because it arrived with a tiny crack on its screen. Perhaps Lem's situation is a fluke and a self-fulfilling prophecy...and he is grumpy.

Or perhaps he's cried, "wolf" one to many times. Sucks if he's telling the truth and the wolf eats him this time.

As part of my attempts to fix this, I changed the supplied 3000 mA battery for a fully charged AW 18650 2200mA battery (from Provape) and inspected the battery compartment - same high current error.

It's almost 2 am and I'm enjoying a 2.5 with a Nautilus on top, so apart from insomnia life goes on, and I'm looking forward to talking with Provape on Monday.

Oh, and I have another 2.5 arriving tomorrow, this one a sale item, in polished stainless steel, to live with my GMZ and the satin silver 2.5 - happy day! :)

Has anyone else had issues with the internal charger on the Radius? Seems to me that the when I remove the battery, and charge it in my external charger, it last longer through the day vs charging it in the Radius? Has anyone else noticed the same issue?

I've also noticed about once a week, 8 hours of charging, and it's still not fully charged. Blue light still on, and charging.
Yep!!!

Since you mentioned it, I recently received my new Radius holster. It's a work of art and built like a tank. I opted for a carbon fiber finish and felt lining but they can be had in a bunch of flavors. Best yet it's crafted by an ECF local, Coffeebum.

Black on black. Hard to make out details. Can you retake them sitting on something not black. If not...thats OK.

As I posted earlier, I call total bullshat. I would go as far to accuse Lemtool of damaging the device intentionally. I know most here would not say it because they are kind and polite people, but my social filter has been broken for years. Don't like the accusation Lem? Tough shat.
You're just a bunch of letters on my monitor. Do you really think I care about what you think of me?

Forgive me for asking: what exactly is the image you use as your avatar? Comes across as fairly hostile, which I'm sure wasn't your intention.

Until now I truly didn't have a clue about the origin of my avatar. I just thought it's a cute little fella, something I'd want as a pet :p

The shop has to sign for it and I have the tracking number. If it gets lost, it's on Post.nl and Deutsche Post ;)

Jesus loves you and so do I.

I am feeling bad about all the bad luck you are having with all your ProVari's and hope everything works out for you. I wish you had the good experiences I have had with my two V2's and two P3's and Jackie with her V2 Mini and P3. The only trouble we ever had between the two of us was with Jackie's V2 Mini after the warranty was up. The board was slipping a little. So little as a matter of fact, the only way I could even tell was when I would clean the inside contact pin, I could feel it slide ever so slightly one way. We sent it in and they returned it within 5 daze good as new. That was probably like 2 years ago.

The fault is on the output side so it wouldn't be a battery issue. Only three things I can think of to cause this that's not board related. Pos pin insulator damaged/slipped letting pin contact top plate. Contact cap on pos pin just long enough to hit top plate or 510 adapter touching pin

If you remove the adapter does it still error?

If you gently pry up the pin a bit, does that fix it?

The only ProVari's we own are a bunch of 2.5's and these are so simple and straightforward that it's almost impossible for something to go wrong with them. And it's my nieces bad luck, After all, it's her Radius.
In this case let your niece speak for herself. If she's old enough to vape it means she can defend herself.
This story was strange from the beginning, fist the mod was red, than it was blue, you have no picture to share, you claim you have a couple of Provari's yourself but you opened a topic about non user upgradable firmware.
Provape offered to help you and still not happy?
What exactly is you point?
You do not like it do not buy it.
Are you that frustrated?

Oh, come on... if I said the colour was changed from red to blue you people would have completely blown it up to be something it wasn't just like you always do. And do you take pictures of every mod you receive? I sure don't and why would I? Or maybe you think I have some kind of obligation towards the forum members to take pictures of a faulty unit? If that's the case, no I don't. Got it?

For sure i know exactly what colour i ordered even if it's a gift for someone else.
On the other hand if i have a fault for a product that is "PROUDLY MADE IN USA" and i live in Europe (same as you) first i take a picture of the faulty part and send a mail to reseller, then to manufacturer if necessary to establish the return procedure.
Before Radius, you opened a topic about Provari being non user upgradable.
Now that the Radius is firmware upgradable by user seems like you found the only weak spot which is the screen protector.
You just couldn't find anything else right?
Oh sorry: no temp control right?
Dear friend, not all of us likes TC, personally i find it useless as long as traditional vaping works just fine.
But the market is meant to satisfy all users right? You can consider that Provape products are not for you.
In this case all your talking became useless.
If any moderator is reading, sorry for the oftopic but i will post some pictures with my SX Mini after 2 months of daily usage. So i think we are paying to much attention to your frustration.
PS: My SX was used at maximum 12.5w in wattage mode.

Agreed - it does appear to be on the output side. The P3 center pin has an orange o-ring which is intact and the pin is sitting well above the surface of the connector. By adapter, I'm guessing you mean the Kabuki - same error with it removed from the Radius.

Ah - re-read your note - the Radius has the P3 connection as does the Kabuki and there is no 510 adapter involved
