I'm with Sir Rod.
Thanks for 'splaining to all us low folks, @GeekyGeezer. No really. However did we make a decision without your, er, puffery.

I'm not sure as to what may have caused that lefthanded compliment and the apparent animosity.

I was hoping that I could advance my opinion, based on things that are true for me. I'm not sure what I wrote that you see as puffery.

As to why you consider yourself low folk, that's up to you. But in no way did my message make that distinction in any way, nor was it intended to.

If somehow you saw my opinion on your choice of mods as a personal attack, I suggest the solution to those hurt feelings lies with you and not me.

I don't have any other TC devices to compare how Provape did it compared to anyone else. I think they did put a lot of thought into the type of coil being used. You certainly have a lot of setting flexibility with how Provape set it up.
The only other TC device I have for comparison is the istick Pico. PBusardo recently gave the Pico a thumbs up for TC.

I'm a complete newb to anything other than single coil Kanthal over 1ohm, and built my first sub-ohm dual coil with SS last week! I tried that build on both the Pico and on a Radius, and there's no comparison--CC beat the living daylights out of TC. At I3, I get a lovely warm and flavorful MTL vape with twice the vapor the same build gets on VW. YMMV!!

I'm not sure how I feel about temp control either, but it might be different when it's done correctly. And, I also tend to get things cuz I can, which means a purple 60W Radius is likely to complete my collection. :)

The cc edition of the software is available for the 40W version of the Radius.

I know your statement was not aimed at me, but I wanted to say this:
(Bear in mind, this is a text based conversation, so sarcasm doesn't translate very well, and may have sparked this.)
--------------
I whole heartedly agree with what you said here, although I don't completely share your opinion on Provape "not" being the best in the industry.

But that's all it is.

A difference of opinion.

It's sad to see people attack each other over a matter of opinion these days...but that's the world we are living in.

You stating your opinion about other companies being on the same level or even better than Provape, is just that. Your opinion.
I do not stand behind anyone who saw your statement as an attack, nor anyone who passive-aggressively responded in the like.
Bear in mind, this is a text based conversation, so sarcasm doesn't translate very well, and may have sparked this.

This country has free speech at its core, and people are not required to have the same views.

I saw nothing wrong with your statement, and I knew there would be backlash.

 Oh well. Some folks just want to perpetuate closed-minded thinking, and condemn others for not sharing their opinions.

Boy, if I did that, I wouldn't have any friends...cuz I'm a diehard death metal fan, and not a single one of my friends, including my woman, can stand death metal on any level.
Oh and not to mention that I'm the only one in my circle of friends and family that vapes.

Good on ya, Geek.

I'll be over here, awaiting MY backlash for the things I've said here.
But I'm not going to argue/fight/speak out against those that would do so against me. Because their opinion is just that. Their opinion.
Bear in mind, this is a text based conversation, so sarcasm doesn't translate very well, and may have sparked this.

Yes....works well for me on the kanger .5 ohm ssocc coils

That was my experience as well, with the addtition of a vaguely burnt taste.

Apparently, I needed to first post in here about it not working, to get it working. :) I'm also using a SSOCC coil. It's a bit hot on 1. But I'm going to keep playing with this and see what happens.

All I've tried it with is Kabuki with Nautilus coils and it works OK. Warmer than I like, but still OK.

I would like to know the actual values, and be able to tweak them. But it's okay. I can't chain vape. Maybe that's a good thing. :)

Has anyone gotten the cc to work with any coil? Because for me, it's not. It's either weak or I get the Temperature exceeded warning.

It seems to work well with the Aspire 0.4 Triton coils, in the Triton 2 tank, but really goes through the juice. I can't compare it to anything else as this is my first time using a CC/TC device.

I did the 40CC update today. Then I played around with the CC until my battery died. I threw it on the charger. When done, I went back to vaping in CC. After about 5 hours the battery meter showed about 1/4 down from full. The next vape I took, the battery totally discharged. I have had the Radius since they were first released last October, and I always used the USB to recharge.

I wondering if anyone else has had this issue? I'm also thinking I should swap out the battery and use my charger to charge it (VP 4). It is just weird that this happened to me right after I did the update.

ETA: When I swapped out the battery, the old one showed 3.77 on my charger, and seemed okay.

I really want a storm trooper radius but I'm concerned about the black finish vs the satin silver. Ugh. Vapepocalypse is pending.
The black will eventually wear, but I have had my stealth Radius for about 7 months and with daily use, it is almost like new. Just a bit of wear on the bottom edges from being banged around.

I would order the black finished metal again for sure.

I was very skeptical about the black finish. I got a black Radius with the black finish (regular button and window) a few weeks ago and its held up fine but I dont have the long track record like you do. So its good to hear your finish has held up well. I dont use the silicone sleeve.
