This is the area to enlarge and look at...

It seems the finish is failing?

Your mod or your nail polish? LOL.
It's still a gorgeous device.

hmmm, that is not good at all. Hopefully they replace that part for you :-(
No no no...

This one will not be going back for repair.

To send it back, would interupt it's chain of custody.

Weird, I know, Jim

Yeah, I understand - sending stuff back is a right pain when you want your mods in rotation. Still - it shouldn't happen in a relatively short time :)

Yonjuro, a question: Is it necessary to rotate mods? I have 3, but only use one and keep the rest for the uncertain future.

My $0.02?

Use the hell out of all of them while they are in warranty.

I still rotate mods based on preference and do have a few that are just stored for a rainy day.

I use them all in rotation , different tanks and flavours in each - so that was all I was referring to. I don't think there is any mechanical or electronic need.

Just checked in on the Provape forum after months of not looking at any vaping forums (work, work, work) and noticed this thread. I read the last 10 pages or so. The talk about Provape thinning out their Radius lineup and not having the customizing option lead me to check Provape's site. I've always wanted the blue/graphite 60 watt model, so I went ahead and bought it before that one disappears. Had a 10% off coupon so it made it a little cheaper. Also bought the spare screws just in case. Glad I got the stealth Procyon when it came out, too. Not seeing that option, either. My 40 watt Radius and 2 Procyons are still working dependably like always.

My, oh my. THIS thread took some turns.

I'm holding out hope for Cole-Bishop to stick, and for the survival of many good companies, present one/ones included. If you've got the time, it'd be nice to have a chat with your reps & senators, asking them to support the CB amendment.

Calling is better than writing - again, IF you have the time.

Happy Thanksgiving, All!

20% off! ;)

Looks like there isn't the Concord Grape option anymore. I have a Cabernet Radius bought on last year's Black Friday sale. I really wanted the Grape one this year. Maybe I will settle for the Midnight Blue...

Did you read about their Cyber sale being 20% off?
I think that it might be enough that I can do it.

From the latest CASAA newsletter:

Going into the 2016 election, the clear legislative strategy was to support including predicate date change language in the omnibus budget bill. Many expected the contents of an omnibus spending bill to be decided in early to mid-December. However, the incoming administration and Republican-controlled congress are making a decision to delay this until spring of 2017. As a result, the vehicle for the predicate date change language -- the Cole-Bishop amendment -- is no longer in play. However, there is still value in referencing the language when communicating with lawmakers on this issue.

Although modernizing the predicate date is not likely to happen this year, it is still a necessary step toward developing useful and fair regulation and support for this effort is ongoing. The larger effort will be focused on creating a separate category for low-risk products. With a more sympathetic government, developing this new regulatory regime is now more likely.

Has anyone verified this? HR2058, yes. But that appropriations bill was delayed, and I believe it does carry over. Since the rider was already approved, I'm not 100% confident that this is accurate.
I'll.check too. (but not right now).

I hope it's not accurate. At the very least, we need that predicate date changed NOW! A lot of business decisions (and consumer, me) are riding on it. ProVape said if that date doesn't get changed, they'll go bye bye. Sure, a complete revocation of the deeming regs would be the ultimate but we need some sort of hope now. Saying we have more hope (while true) now that Trump won the election and the Republicans control Congress just doesn't cut it for me. We need something positive now! That was set to be signed into law before the end of the year. Now what? When? I sent CASAA a email but they won't answer. They never have.

How long has the build your own option not been available? I haven't been on the site in months but really wanted to pick up a stealth Radius with the sale going on and they're no longer offered :( Is this permanent?

I did not notice it until about a month ago, I had wanted to get my first one a custom one, the black with graphite gray. I don't think we will see that option again, I think that this post is correct, as to the reason.

To you folks wondering about why ProVape may have disco'ed the build your own Radius...At the end of December another segment of the deeming kicks in, and manufacturers have to submit a complete listing of all products available to the FDA. A custom built mod has no place in such a description, because each variance from unit to unit makes them a distinctly different product.

As I see it, streamlining would be a necessary step to regulatory survival, and could also be viewed as an intent to stay in the game.

See, speculation can be positive as well ;)

I think that they just picked the ones, that were requested the most in the custom option, and put them on the site.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving :)

If you meant Concorde Purple ... that option is still available.

The spending bill it's attached to has been pushed to March 2017 for vote...see this post: Latest Status of H.R.2058? Lost in Space?
