I gave up a Volt today. :( it was for a good cause though. A friend of mine was told today she had to quit smoking for health reasons. She came to me crying and I really wanted to try one of mine. So I gave in and fixed one of mine up for her and surprised her with it after work. Drip tip and all. I took my juices and let her pick a couple she wanted. It felt really good to see her face light up with excitement. I expect her to be placing her order on SI very soon and hopefully come here.

Wow! Have no idea why this posted twice. Sorry

Back from the doctor. Good news is it isn't an allergy, so it can't be blamed on any juice (yay) or food. She said it is psoriasis, a pretty mean case of it but not the worse we've ever seen, and gave me some ointment. Not sure what brought it on after no flare up in the past 20+ years. She said it is usually stress... I don't feel stressed out, and I have had some MAJOR stressed out times over the years that didn't cause it to flare. Usually stress shows itself by me having a twitch somewhere, usually my eye. Like Donkey :)

Stress isn't always the emotional kind. Sometimes it's a change in hormones or something. I've had psoriasis since 1994 when I bought the printing shop that I was working at. Major stress from all directions! Use the ointment diligently, and try to expose it to sunlight whenever you can...before it turns uuuugly, like the ones on my shins!

That stinks..............sounds like we had good support on our end of things though......

This story was on our local 6PM news and boy howdy, did they get it wrong. I would like to take the more informed reports straight down to the TV station and ask them to not sensationalize before getting the facts right. I am gonna send an email with some better information than they had in their story.

Here's my WTA report, after trying it for a day. I got till noon before needing a cigarette, and even then, I think it was more that I just wanted one than that I missed whatever chemicals. Then, after lunch, I got very sleepy. This sometimes happens, but I've heard WTA can make you extra relaxed or sleepy. I was just sleepy, not extra relaxed, though I wasn't nervous by any stretch of the imagination. I took a nap. When I woke, I tried vaping it a little more, but then I just gave in and smoked. I think partly it's the tradition, the habit of smoking, as much as a physical need. You'd think vaping would satisfy that, but it doesn't seem to. It's as if vaping is a whole other thing. Like swimming compared to ice skating. Both are sports, but they aren't really similar. So this evening, I had the e-cig with the Turkish tobacco infused with WTA sitting on my desk, and then I got really sick of smelling it. I wondered if I'd like the tobacco flavor well enough to vape it, and this morning, it was OK, but something about the smell is strong and started getting to me. So I put that carto away and am vaping a nice, gentle peach flavor I just got that is a very nice change from Turkish tobacco.

One interesting thing is, I didn't feel lightheaded from vaping the WTA, as some people have reported, but when I had the cigarette at noon, I did get that dizzy feeling you get when you haven't smoked in a while.

I'm not finished with the WTA yet. I will see how it goes tomorrow, though I think I'll break up vaping it with other flavors so I don't get sick of it. I can still smell that Turkish tobacco smell! Do I dare open a window? Usually, e-liquids don't smell so strong for so long. This is very weird.

I wish I could figure out how to get WTA into some flavor I like better, like chocolate. They sell it unflavored, but if I mixed it with a flavor I like, would it be too diluted to work? Is it even working now? It's hard to tell.

I think my response to this is a very personal thing, so if you want to try it, don't be discouraged. I have a feeling everyone will react as differently as they do to which flavor they like best. I certainly plan to use it again, and I may try diluting the tobacco flavor with something else. I wonder how chocolate would mix? It could either improve it or make it really yukky.

Meanwhile, I need some Turkish tobacco relief, and this peach stuff is just right.

First... what is WTA? and why do you "have" to vape it? I am sorry your vaping doesn't satisfy your need for smoking. It does for me. Although I know that if I had analogs here anywhere in the house it would be hard to resist so I just don't make them available and when I have that nic fit, which are getting fewer and fewer, I reach for my Cowboy, take a couple pulls and the urge goes away.

I hope you find something that works for you.

WTA stands for Whole Tobacco Alkaloid. For some people who find vaping doesn't satisfy their need to smoke, the theory is that they are missing the other ingredients in tobacco, not just nicotine. So they extract those ingredients and make a nic juice that has more of what's in a cigarette in it than just nicotine. Since I'm having trouble giving up analogs, I thought vaping WTA might help. I ordered some, but there were limited choices of flavors. I think part of my problem with this trial is the flavor/smell of the juice. I bet tobacco juice fans will enjoy it, though.

Meanwhile, this peach juice is just what I needed to cleanse my palate. Opening the window for a little while helped, too.

I just used my label maker to print labels for my unlabeled cartos. It wasn't too hard. I didn't care about the wasted tape so much. I just wanted to put a label on each carto. They aren't pretty, but now I know which is which.

Next project is to find a larger box for all my supplies. This is mushrooming! I'm thinking of some sort of large jewelry box with lots of compartments. I love the box I got from SI when I ordered my starter kit, but I outgrew that long ago. I keep a few things in it, but there are more just rattling around. My cartos are in a Tupperware-like container, as I've been advised, to keep them fresh. But they will soon outgrow that, and I have spare cartos, bottles of e-liquid, etc. that need a place to live.

I'm beginning to see that with the vaping hobby, there's always something more I need.

Okay - Here is some info for You that I think you might get a kick out of seeing and I hope a number of people might enjoy seeing too:

This is the first one I saw when I was just lurking and before I posted here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/123294-show-us-your-stash.html#post1911715

These are ones that came up using that search option UP THERE ^ ^ ^ ^

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-show-off-your-e-juice-stach.html#post5025712

Also - Personally I found a couple of Wood Boxes with Draws at a "Goodwill" type of store 1) 16 l x 12 d x 8 h 3 Draws $5 and 2) 14 l x 10 d x 10 h w/ 3 Sm - 2 Med - 1 Lg $4 (This One Looks like the "Stack_on" just smaller - Info below :) ) . . .

You might also want to check out "Sterilite" or "Stack-on" (IMO - the better one) line of products which you can see in the first link too . . .

Before I got the ones I have - I liked this one the best and found it at both Walmart & Kmart (a little Cheaper there too) - "Stack_on 22 Draw Organizer" (which comes in other sizes, # of Draws, and colors too - but not everything at Kmart :( )

"Stack_On" Available Colors Link: Stack-On | Products | 22-Drawer Storage Cabinet

KMart Link: http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_9990000045200511P?prdNo=3

Hope this Information Helps People In Their Seaarch For Organizing Stuff :D

it may be more of a mental thing then a chemical thing... the chemical aspect is only half the battle IMHO.

Some of us smoked because there is a rebel aspect to us... and for me that was the hardest thing to give up... just saying well I want to smoke...and i wanna do what I want to do...

I am not saying this is the issue you have, but for me I just had to force myself to only vape in the beginning... it took me 3 tries but when i finally just decided to stay in all day and not go buy a pack and just vape... that one day turned into 2 then into a week then into a month

If you play the test of which is better - taste- feel - what satisfies... cigarettes will win they are what we are mentally and physically used to and addicted to.

ah okay. I guess that makes sense. I feel fortunate then to get that satisfied feeling. I have a friend who also tried doing this with me and he just cannot give up analogs. He tries to do the "I will only allow myself 3 cigs a day, the rest will be vaping". I personally cannot do that. It is either all or nothing with me. You can't have a cig in the house and expect you are not going to chose it over vaping. Just my opinion.... its not gonna happen. If you don't have them you can't smoke them. I started with just taking one day at a time. Just kept telling myself "I am gonna make it through today and if I still want a cig tomorrow I will go buy them." then tomorrow comes and I pushed it to the next day. To me it is mind over matter. You can't look at vaping as replacing smoking. It is its own, all by itself. You just have to want to vape and not want to smoke. Just as with any device or medication used to quit smoking, if you don't want to quit, its not gonna help you quit. You have to really want it and then make it happen.

My point exactly. I agree. If cigs are available..... they will be the only thing that will satisfy. If they aren't there, you can't smoke them. Mind over matter.
