How can you tell when a carto is almost out of juice?

I took me about 2 days roughly before I found that nasty metallic/burned taste that I read about. Most of the reviews I was reading made it sound like it should only last me about a day or less depending on my vaping habits.

how many drops should it take to refill it?

I use the condom method to refill my VOLT carto's. I use about 18 drops in the rubber cap. You can search the form or youtube there are a ton of vids on refilling using the condom method. Just be very careful not to overfill the rubber cap especially if you have a auto battery. I get paranoid sometimes and start vaping with my manual after I refill just to be safe. Dont want to get ejuice inside the battery. :)

My Volt starter kit arrived this afternoon and I'm loving it! Now I understand what all the excitement is about ... Not sure which I'm more excited about ..... the battery or the terrific cartomizer.

Should the light on the ash cap end remain constantly lit while charging the Volt battery?

TYIA

Glad to hear you're happy with your Volt! Whoever put this battery and cartomizer together is a genius. When I realized I just didn't like the big fat batteries I got a couple of KR808 batts and a box of cartos from another vendor, to try the system. They were nice, showed potential, but weren't quite 'there'. So I decided to give the Volt a try and ordered the Pro kit. I've been using the Volt for about a month now and still can't get over what a superior vape it delivers. Not to exaggerate or anything, but I think these cartomizers have a bit of magic in them.

... how many drops should it take to refill it?

Mr Holmes,
It seems like it depends on the viscosity of the juice as to how many drops you can get in there. Only way to know is to try. I noticed that my heavier juices seem to take more before it starts to drip out of the bottom and my light juices do the opposite. I guess if it's thicker, it's harder for it to get down in there past the atomizer coil.

Edit: Forgot to mention. I've read that using thicker juices may shorten the life of your cartomizer. Could just be coincidence, but as soon as I switched to thicker juices with more color... My carts started gumming up and didn't have that nice, free-flowing draw that the Volt cartos have. So far... Those are the only Volt cartos that have burned out for me. Of course all of them will eventually burn out, but those were the first to go.

Twilight Zone
Well I got a birthday present today, over a week and half early lol. I guess at my age they didn't know whether I'd make it till then or not. Unfortunately it's not a Volt. Didn't even have a "Do not open till B-day" note on it so guess what I did. . Charged it up and filled one of the 2ml cartos and tried a few puffs. Darn button to push and I had just gotten away from that. It is very pretty I'll have to admit and does put out a cloud of vapor and strong th, but I had forgotten what that funky carto filler taste was like. It came with a free 10ml bottle of 555. I dripped a few into my Volt carto to atty mod and put the cap back on the bottle, then filled the carto with Desert Joe. I think DM would agree that stuff isn't really 555 since we now know what 555 is supposed to taste like. I hate to sound ungrateful about a gift but picking out a PV kit for someone who is already a vaper is like picking out underwear for them without knowing their size. It's not quite a fat bat but it's about an inch longer and a little thicker than my 78mm with a carto on it, the extra length being in the large cap carto. It's very stylish and a little flashier than my Volt and has a little longer batt life. Had to find something positive. The good news is my Volt cartos will fit on it, although that does take away from the pretty and flashy. Bottom line is the Volt has me spoiled rotten and unless somebody comes out with something better please don't buy me a PV for Christmas.

awesome and welcome sassy
The Volt was my 3'rd kit, I got 1 long and 1 short battery and the 555 carto's (my new favorite!!!) I LOVE my volt and I get just as much vapor out of short as I do the long battery. I just ordered more 555 liquid and carto's! I don't have the pvc, I would love to try one eventually but gotta catch up on funds spent on all these kits and different juices and carto's I bought experimenting! LOL I am kicking myself now that I didn't find the Volt first!! i could of saved myself A LOT of money!! Keep the good stuff coming!! :vapor:

I use the condom method to refill my VOLT carto's... ...

When I'm first filling a blank, I like to drip directly onto the metal plug hole, just a few drops at a time. If I do more than that, the juice doesn't get a chance to absorb through the silica tubing and just runs straight through the cart, onto my hand. I do this cause I want to make sure that the atty is wet. As soon as I see any juice in the filler on the opposite end, I flip it over and just top it off from the draw side, a couple drops at a time, until just before the juice starts to "pool" on top of the filler.
I don't really like the condom method. It's easy... But I find it messy, and I feel like a tiny bit of juice gets wasted every time.

Man... I've only been vaping for a few months and I already find myself obsessing over it... SMH

I know what you mean. Iv only been vaping for a month and I already see this as beeing a hobby I can get into and all I have is my smokeless image volt! tbh I do often drip right into the carto that seems to be a good way to get my addy wet without the mess. :)

very excited about that new pcc.

are you sure you can't leave a pix of the new pcc laying around, kinda like apple does with the new iPhones? lol
I am too! Love my slider, but I have the old style which will only charge the short batts. I need a charger that can handle both. Will the new design cover that Imagine?

Also - I've gotten a bit confusilated: When do you currently expect the shipment of the sweet liquids (watermelon!)?

I am so with you -

Step 1: "We admitted we were powerless over our addiction to SmokelessImage ...."

Amen to that!! It's funny: I've tried just about everything under the sun (as you can see on my signature), but the Volt is the only PV I've ever developed an addiction to.

Ha ha - I swiped your smiley for future use Proudlion! :)

Well - I am back and now have a computer at hand to actually provide a post . . . .

First and foremost, I would like to say HI ! ! ! to the new members of the Smokeless Image & the "Volt" thread . . . As most people have already mentioned, WE ARE a fine group of very different people sharing our "LIKE" of everything that is "Volt" . . . and Thankfully - "Imagine" does allow us to socialize with each other and share information (even things that are not Smokeless Image related or from other "vendors' as she has mentioned in previous post) with each other . . . That in itself is what makes this thread so GREAT ! ! ! !

We join together here to discuss, not just "Volt" and about "e-Cigs", the product line, and what's NEW and upcoming to Smokeless Image - but to be informed about our community and what is happening with each other. I have found most everyone here to be caring and quite supportive about each other, especially though all the trials and tribulations of Transitioning into the "Vaping World." And no QUESTION or Answer is ever considered unnecessary or out of place - someone is always here to share their experience, wisdom, and their own opinion (which some may or may not agree with).

NOW - I would really like to put something to rest finally, especially since it has been posted before and SO WE CAN FINALLY MOVE ON without rehashing it Again & Again ("Imagine" - my apologies - Please let me know if you want me to delete the following text) . . .

Since, I am the one who is the culprit and the one most egregious with the "FLUFF", although I have explained it before and defended myself also in a blog post . . . Just in case anyone is bothered by “My Guy – ‘Fluff” (as someone who has been so bothered by them and without-a-doubt has been so rude about it, has now called me out again) . . . YES it is a MAN and not the Women of the Smokeless Image Thread that is adding the “Fluff” . . .

The actual reason I use “smiley” and “emoticons” in my post is for one reason and one reason only . . . Right now, I’m not doing to well getting “On-board” and Transitioning into the “Vaping World” . . . the way I feel emotionally, mentally, & physically, especially with my “anxiety” and being so "frustrated" about "vaping” and still “smoking” (Yes - I am still smoking cigarettes), putting in the “Fluff” and using “similes” and “emoticons” is the only fun I'm having at the moment . . .

So, please forgive a "Grumpy Old Depressed Man" like Me . . . for trying to pull himself out of the doldrums by having a little FUN ! ! !

YES - I am a "Newbie" at "Vaping" and “e-Cigs” – I really haven't been able to start full time yet (and have even stopped a couple of times - MY BAD - but I am finding this very hard for ME to do).

But I am still trying and in so doing, I am still learning a lot of stuff about the process, equipment, etc. that's why I'm here a lot . . . Also, I find the "Socializing” at ECF and more importantly, on the Smokeless Image thread quite pleasurable and very helpful to calm my "anxiety" & "frustration" trying to find that WOW!!! flavor and learning what I need to get into all of this . . .

So while I may be a PIA for some people and bother them - I am still new to all of this and I am doing the best I can to stay connected to those who are sharing their expertise with me to help me through this phase . . . SO PLEASE - just try to bear with it . . . or as it has been suggested there is a way to ignore My post . . .

Hope that explains it all for ya . . . AND - can we just "All Get Along" and more importantly . . . PLEASE MOVE ON ! ! !

P.S. Just one "Emoticon" . . . View attachment 53801

EDIT: P.S. If it is alright with You - May I quote you, in my work, some time in the future?

Welcome Back Uncle! :)

If you are referencing the post that I think you are - I believe that this person was referring to any non-Volt related chit-chat in general as "fluff". Most of us indulge in this because we don't have our own forum (just this one epic thread), and frankly, we have a comraderie goin' on here. You are not the only gentleman here to liberally use emoticons. I personally like 'em and think that they make the thread colorful and interesting to read rather than dry, information-only data. I don't think that this person was singling you out - just saying that there was a lot of stuff to sift through to get information. But - as we've all mentioned before: Ask a question at any point, and someone will give you an answer. We gotta have something to do to keep us outta trouble. :2c:
