Yay for Halloween!

So here is my Halloween - taking my cousins little girl Trick or Treating

(unfortunately the pics are a little grainy, but none the less...)

She enjoyed the candy part, but took to the walking around, and especially talking to people, aspect about as well as she did the wig which should have been with her Rapunzel outfit :D

So instead, back to the house to hand out candy ourselves - which, surprising, she absolutely loved to do!
(I might add, that part worked extremely well for the trick or treaters coming to the door. She had a habit of grabbing the biggest handful she possibly could to drop in peoples bags, hehehe. Think there are even like 3-4 candies in her hand in this pic :D )

Yep, just a Yay for Halloween! kind of night for me

She is adorable..

My Grand kids came over in full costume.. Ill post pics when I can get them off my phone.. or figure how to at least...

Turns out, having a 2 year old in the house means no one even thinks about taking pictures of anyone else though. Oh well, she was the important one anyway... (besides, some of us were unable to dress up anyway - as can be seen in the pics)

You can never get enough of when their 2 .. Old enough to kinda get it and still so cute and young that, they really don't..

In California? No way...

No, really though, we did too - which shocked us at first. Some didnt dress up or wear full outfits (which, might have been more of a economy vs straight laziness issue, not sure) but everyone was surprisingly polite and talkative this year compared to years past. Was refreshing to see.

In the area we were at, we also get kids "bussed in" by family from the not-so-hot areas around us, and found they seemed to be the ones most interested in the decorations we placed and being appreciative for the candy. Added quite a bit to the night really.

OMG ...There might be Hope for the Future after all .... :D

I surprised myself the other night when I went to refill my carto with vanilla and saw that the bottle was only a third of the way full. For some reason, I've been vaping the vanilla almost exclusively for the past couple of weeks and show no signs of getting tired of it. Has this happened to any of you?

I found out that by accident 555 and Desert Joe make for a OMG I just bought those bottles moment.. Look at it this way ...
I would rather be vaping good eats than actually eating good eats ..I am finally back in size 34 Jeans :D

Wow, that's a lot of info - thank you. And I did look at the links you posted before, thanks again.

In my heart of hearts I believe they are full of doodoo claiming they can tell the difference between gum and ecigs.
And yes I should, as a matter of principle, stand up to this. But I'm a coward, and many of us in this office know we are holding onto our jobs by the grace of god and little more. It has been made crystal clear that they don't want the folks with a ton of seniority (I've worked there 32 yrs!) and would be happy for the smallest excuse to get rid of us. And since I cannot afford to let them retire me just yet, I toe the line.

Reminds me of a song, I fought the law and the law won. Ceptin I'm not gonna fight the law.

So, now comes the only 2 choice I have left: Go down to 0 nic or just quit ecigs, or cough up the $70/mo and keep happily vaping. And hope that some day these will become more mainstream and widely accepted for the miracle they are and the ban will be lifted.

Just as an FYI:

I hope this information is helpful and while I posted some of this before - Please check my original post to you about this, specifically the link to "How Long Does Nicotine Stay In Your System": http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...okelessimage-com-thread-1143.html#post4443169

You may also want to check out the following important information: Foundation for Blood Research (FBR): Cotinine Pamphlet

FBR's cotinine report suggests that my patient may be a light smoker, but he swears that he doesn't smoke. What explanation might account for this discrepancy?

Assuming that the patient is being truthful, your patient could be exposed to cigarette smoke on the job, at home, or elsewhere. Second hand smoke can be responsible for relatively high cotinine levels; patients should be advised to reduce their exposure to second hand smoke.

IN Addition in the same article:

How will nicotine patches, gum, or aerosols affect cotinine levels?

Cotinine is a metabolic byproduct of nicotine. Nicotine replacement medications produce cotinine just as tobacco does. FBR should be advised if nicotine is available to the patient in pharmacological form.

And there is this one: Smoker's Nicotine - Cotinine Drug Test

The above and many of these are from a "Google" search - there is additional information here: Workplace Nicotine Testing: What Are The Risks? ; Nicotine Test Kits | Nicotine Testing from Home Health Testing ; Pass Nicotine Drug Tests ;

Including: Google

Remember - You do have RIGHTS ! ! !

AND as far as I know - right now - Before you are tested, they have to tell you what they are testing for and you cannot be forced to take any medical test without your direct consent - even a nicotine test . . . You can refuse as with any other personal and/or invasive test - Check EOE US EEOC Home Page and your Local State Employment laws California Labor and Workforce Development Agency.

We had no kids come to the house last night. I live on sort of a cul de sac that's off the beaten path. It was kind of sad too because the lady across from me was sitting on her porch in a costume and had her little Pomeranian in a matching costume too. He was so adorable! They had pointy hats that looked like candy corn, and some outfit that matched. But nobody ever came :( We could hear them going up & down the streets on either side of us, they just didn't go around the corner where we are. We even have several young kids that live on this street, 7 kids from 3 houses all under 6 yrs old. But none of them were home so those houses were dark (also discouraging for the others). Maybe the new trend is to have private parties or events at schools/churches instead of going house to house. Oh well.

Darkstar--What a cutie! Pity we couldn't see your "occupier" costume; I adore dry wit.
Rave--Cool ghost. I've been watching as your trees got nakeder (we'll pretend it's a real word) and the leaf blanket on the ground got thicker. I think most native Floridians have a secret envy of people who get real seasons. But I've lived a lot of places and came back to FL to stay; I"ll just live with the envy.
I would love to see whatever pics the folks here have of their trick-or-treaters.
Starsong--I feel your pain. There was a time (before I was jobless for 12 consecutive months), when I would have sworn to stand up to the unscrupulous unfairness about the e-cigs. Now? I've been employed for 24 months and am STILL grateful, and unwilling to rock the boat. It sucks, don't it?

YIKES! In my class tonight, we were covering persuasiveness, and the dang teacher assigned impromptu, on-the-spot business presentations, to convince the class of whatever we wanted to talk about. My topic was e-cigs - whipped out my Volt case and went to town! So now, at least my class knows all about e-cigs! baby steps...

I've never been satisfied to vape anything exclusively, but SI Chocolate and NLV Bounty Hunter are always included in my assortment every day. I have at least six different flavors loaded up each day; several tobaccos, something sweet and some kind of fruit. Sort of like a full course dinner.

I've been buying my juice in mega-bulk quantities (enough to last a month or two) to save money lately, so I wouldn't know about having arrays of flavors to choose from. Figured I smoked nothing but menthol for 30 years, so how bad can it be to vape Blueberry Cheesecake, Chunky Monkey or Pina Colada all month long, right? Thankfully, I've been really liking my flavors so far. Any longer though, and I'd probably be ODing on it.
