I have seen a bunch of people using something called tapatalk. I am assuming this is from their phone. I can get tapataalk from the android market for 2.99. But unsure of what it is. Can someone shed some light?

It's just an app that will allow you to read on multiple message forums. A lot easier than going to a web address through the internet browser.. i don't remember paying for it though.

Sharpie didn't hold up more than a couple days....
Staedtler makes permanent markers that are used for writing on plant markers. These have to endure weather and sun. I've used them for years, and they stand up. Only thing is, I think they only come in black, and if you have a black carto they woulld not directly show up. But otherwise, definitely a great marking pen..that beats sharpies hands down

A very good color system tape that will stick is electrical tape-and you can write on it, if this interets anyone. I am going to try the caps though, and see how they work. Are they sof-tips anyone?

Yes, the colored caps are just like the white ones that come on the cartos.
No, 40 F, but still hot for this time of year, when there are usually snowstorms. Actually, when I drove through town, it was in the high 50s F on the time-and-temperature sign at the bank. I have windows open to air out the place. What a treat today is!

My recollection from years ago is that Staedtler did make permanent markers in multiple colors, but they were somewhat hard to find. In any event, I don't think the colors would show up well on black cartos anyway.
I know this will sound kinda 'cutesy', but has anyone thought of just using those kiddie stickers as labels? You know, the ones for kids, found in all shapes and colors, and types. Cherries, apples, coffee cups, ice cream cones, candy, etc. etc...
These would make great little wrap-around labels for appropriate-flavored cartos???

Everyone who has one loves them. They were discussed in the past. But they are for PCs, and I have a Mac. Besides, I thought writing on the cartos would be simpler. I don't need anything fancy, just an ID.

The problem with that is you'd probably have to buy tons of stickers just to get one or two you wanted, and if I were going to use a sticker, I'd just use a blank white one and write the name on it. I may resort to that, but I thought some sort of pen that would show up on black might be better than sticking something on the carto. As long as the writing stayed on while I was using it, I wouldn't care if it washed off if I ever cleaned the carto. In fact, that might be better, in case I wanted to fill a cleaned carto with something else.
You know Sandy, I just remembered something! Places that sell Art supplies have liquid pens-like a cartridge in the pen's center filled with a liquid-that come in gold, silver, and some other colors. They are mostly metallic, and permanent. Metal-flake inks flow that must be allowed to dry about 30 secs. before touching. They are very beautiful inks, and are permanent. Used a lot by artists for various crafts. Maybe you have a local Michaels? I wish I could remember what they are called exactly, but it's been a few years since I needed any so don't have anymore of them. But they might work, and are fashionable too

Yeah, I'm also a Mac user. I managed to find one that may work with Macs, but it's bulky looking and I don't have a lot of space. I found some multicolored circular labels on Amazon this morning and added them to my cart. Now, all I need to do is find a reliable pen that will produce smudge-proof ink.
I don't see how beautiful can be used to describe upper 40s. Geez, brrrrrrr! I'm chilly and it is low 70s here.
NOW - I know I can be forgetful and just plain stupid at times - But didn't "Imagine" mention that there will be "Carto" wrapes from DM . . . AND if I am correct that these might also come with "Flavor" Labels too . . . I don't really know, but I think since we already had this discussion it was mentioned as a possibility . . . Anyone else remember this . . .
