ignore the coil, its a fresh coil put in two days ago.
As you can see the coil exceeds the cup
the harshness was there from the beginning.

Anyone know where I might pickup a S or C deck in The States (no clones)?

Even the StattQualm shop has been OOS on those two decks for several months now. The only US based suppliers I remember selling SQR accessories are shop.vaperev.com and vapinart.com but they are both out of those decks as well.

I checked over at dashvapes.com and they still have a few units of C and S decks available. They are based up in Toronto - I've bought from them before - absolutely no complaints and shipping to the States didn't take long and wasn't very expensive (certainly cheaper than c9v/cremedevapes). DV's prices are quoted in Canadian dollars so things are about 25% less when converted to USD.

Also ... looks like SQ has discontinued the full R ... I have a feeling these two decks will soon follow.

Ugh... seeing that crusty caked coil made me cringe a bit. It's got to taste pretty funky, burnt & harsh. Too bad sweet juices have that effect. I had to give up my favorite juice because I was sick of re-coiling daily or less.

Anyway, 1.1Ω, 10-11W and the harshness is unaffected by moving the coil closer to the air intake hole. Does it go away with a different deck? If its only with the b deck then it has to do with what makes that deck different unless your wick's going dry. And its harsh even with a less gunking juice, perhaps one with a lower PG ratio?

I bet it has to do with the shape of that particular deck compared to others. All other decks have a wick channel which takes up space which does not exist in the B deck. This gives the B deck more open space for air to circulate which could contribute to a harsher vape. This is a similar principal behind why moving coils further from air intake increases harshness as it creates more air space around coils. Thats my working hypothesis.

Can never let go off ruthless vapor ez duz it on ice with man-tears and getting stroppy. Sweet and daily coil changes needed but got the square wicking down to art form so only takes few mins if I am busy, 10 mins I want thing clean. 15mins when I get OCD.

Which gave me the google search to find these replacement insulators for the Squape's center pin.

Product Description:

"This replacement O-ring insulator is used to replace the O-ring on the center pin. This O-ring will solve the "Jump resistance" problem perfectly."

I eagerly await @nj1001 's report :D

Since I just have the SX mini to find the sweet spot on the Squapes pins and because they tend to move slightly when being taken on/of mods - I've found my ohms generally wander by about .03 ohms even with kanthal.

So I want ahead an ordered some of the insulators. I replaced the o-ring on my full R that I use daily. Initial impressions are positive. With the stock o-ring the pin in able to wiggle slightly and is easy adjusted with a fingernail. The plastic insulators hold the pin much tighter - no wiggling, and now a screwdriver is necessary to adjust the pin. Also - the reading on the Squape instantly became solid to the 1/100th.

Yeah I see what you mean...wel that crust is because of elements pink lemonade and orange squeeze which are both real sweet.
But I love them and can't let them go!
But can't recoil everyday either. I get around 3days before It goes like that..

Yeah it's harsh which ever way I put it unfortunately. I havent found the culprit yet, however I seems to me that it is the bell cap that is causing it. I have no idea why...just a theory...

Vaperev is in stock on the decks at the moment if you're still looking.

OK awesomeness I shall post some later today.
My b deck used to leak all the time. The key is to make you're coil wider than the air flow hole in the middle. Never leaked again.

Well I think I'm gonna name mine the 'everyday' atty.. As in need to use it everyday or it'll leak.;( using 3mm id with the B deck btw..
But other than that it's a great rta.. Flavor's great, Screw off the tank section and I can do anything, fill the tank, change the coil/wick, clean.. Etc etc.. Yet to come across a tank as easy as the SQR..,
