Not sure if anyone's still getting the jumping resistance, but today I was. I came overseas with only my previously fine RS and xvostick, visited a local store for some juices and dropped in a coil, first I was getting check atty from the DNA40, cleared that but then resistance was huge and all over the place.

To fix I tore down the squape and let it sit in $3 vodka, then used some non toxic brass cleaner to shine up the pin on the mod. Dried it all off and put it back together and was getting a stable (but way to high) resistance - it's hard to dry in the screw holes and I've noticed this happening in the past after a clean, just left it for a while and working normally now.

If you're having trouble with R just make sure everythings really clean, yelling at it seems to help too.

Mine likes to be dirty..As soon as I clean everything it goes all wonky on me. So I clean everything maybe once a month now..lol I clean the tank when I re-wick it and coil it but that is it. I still love it but won't use it in temp control. I did buy 2 of them for that purpose but since it has some stability issues I just use it in kanthal. I might pick up those insulator things that people have been posting but will admit I'm lazy and haven't done so.

Hey fellow squapers, I've been away from the forums for a while. I picked up a nautilus a while back and haven't been building coils since.

Well I just got my Kingtu Squape reloaded clone. I had one of the original squape clones from FT a long time ago, which was really nice, except the manufacturing flaws.
In any case, I was wondering if anyone had some links for a 1.6-2 Ohm dual coil build on the squape (without the D deck). I remember seeing a "double-barrel shotgun" build back when I had the old clone, but I can't seem to find it.

Or should I just stick to single micro, or single twisted micro.
I have some 30 AWG, and 32 AWG
Might go pick some 28 up

I use a provari, so I vape somewhere between 10-14 watts.

Hiya @TangentOmen - welcome back!

I have been following this thread since the beginning and I don't recall seeing a pic of a dual shotgun build in this thread - of course I could be wrong! It's been over a year and 100+ pages :p

There is this (now closed) Squape clones thread[/url] that maybe you are thinking of? There isn't much mention of the clones in this thread - so if you remember a cloned deck in the build pick it might be in there.

I used triple twisted 30ga coils for a long time and thought the flavor was incredible. Eventually though I found that my twisted coils tended to spit juice more than regular contact coils do - so I just make contact coils now - they're easier, last longer, and produce a smoother vapor. I've had my Squape in daily use since their first run in the States and I've settled on 28ga for regulated mods and 26 on a mech.

The double barrel wasn't in this thread, I found it somewhere else.

I tried a double coil build tonight, it didn't go well.

I had this nice set up, 22 wraps (11 Each) 30 guage. Got the OP error on the provari, so I tore it all down. Decided to check out what the OP error was... stands for open. I adjusted the 510 pin too high, so in all likely hood, the dual coils would be fine, and around 2 ohm range- DOH!

So then I tried a 30 guage twisted, did 8 or 9 wraps, figured that would have been enough... nope.. 1.56 ID with 9-ish wraps turned out be .8 ohms... but it looks purdy :)

All in all, after a little trial and error at steam-engine.org, it looks like a single micro is the best all around for the provari- on paper, at least.
I do really enjoy the dual vertical coils on the Nautilus, which is why I wanted to get a dual coil build on the Squape. Think I'll just start simple, go with a 9 wrap 30 guage single coil for now.

So now all I have to do is get that magic touch with the cotton wick again :)

Thanks for the insight, drippaboi.

I'm getting a Squape R for Christmas (emailed screenshots of Dashvapes' online Squape R and SX Mini ML pages and directions to one of their locations to my husband). Should I go ahead and order the o-ring replacement insulator from that US site link that was posted a few pages back even though I don't have it yet? Dashvapes doesn't carry them, even though they do have spare parts, and fortunately the D deck.

Thanks.

Edit: Actually looked at the linked page and realized it's a China site, not USA. Yes, my bad in the assumption. So, yes, just went ahead and ordered.

Use the D deck myself mostly. I have the W deck and B deck as well. The D deck is like vaping .......never had .... but am assuming as I more addicted to that then I ever was to silk cuts. My advice is give any tank u buy an isopropyl bath before use.

Just tried to order the B deck from VapeRev in California. They want 38 dollars USD to ship to Canada, no thank you. I'll bet it's cheaper to order from the manufacturer, which I'm just about to fund out. The B is difficult to find.

I got some of those squape center pin isolators off of a site which sells ....-loads of clones and I couldn't get it to fit. I've been just plugging along without it and without any issues. What works best for me, if using a DNA chip, is to identify what my expected resistance should be and then lock my resistance when it reaches the desired Ω. Thereafter I don't have issues. When using a YiHi SX350J chip, I often simply check the resistance once I build a fresh coil and it locks itself there & its usually accurate (so long as the center pin isn't wound too far one way or the other). For whatever reason, I've found YiHi to be better at determining actual resistance better than DNAs.

As a side note (believe I posted this 50 or so pages back) I have noticed that the sharp edges of the centerpin have caused wear on one of my spring loaded 510's caused by friction of screwing it on & off when the squape's center pin is out too far. Just an FYI for y'all. Try to keep the pin nice and flush to avoid this. :)

Got another one of these beauties, couldn't stop myself. Three Squape's, three flavours - heaven
They are still my favourite pieces of kit, my other bits and pieces are redundant.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and I wish you all the very best for the new year:toast:

Just a side note: I'm trying to fix someone's Squape who screwed up the threads in the base. The 510 center pin is an M3 with 0.5 pitch on the threads. I'm going to pick up a tap and see if I can fix the threads. If I can, I'll use some conductive epoxy to fasten the center pin in place. It won't adjust, but then again it shouldn't vary in conductivity for TC builds. I'll post how it goes.

I'm trying to find a website as to where to find the Squapes and am having a hard time finding a good site...any help would be appreciated :)
I think the Reloaded is discontinued; the Squape Reloaded S is what's current. I'd either look at some of the European sellers, or else wait for the next Squape model, which may have some improvements.

VapinArt has the Squape Rs in stock. My preferred vendor for RTA's is InTaste, with the good exchange rate it often cheaper to order it from them and they ship FedEx so it often arrives faster than US shipping via USPS. InTaste will show the price including VAT (20%), if your outside the EuroZone you don't pay VAT.

Bella,

I bought my first Squape R from Creme de Vape. They have the R and Rs in stock.
SQuape R[eloaded] Atomiser Kit by StattQualm - Creme de Vape

You can purchase the Rs from the Stattqualm site here:
SQuape R[s] | SQuape Shop

In the US, VapeRev has the Rs in stock.
Vaperev Shop - SQuape R[s]

Thank you so much Freedom!!! I would love the Authentic SQuape Rs but fund arnt going to allow that right now. I did however get a clone to see if this will possibly be a good fit for me. I will keep those sites you posted in mind though for sure!!

Hi, everyone. I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion whether the Squape r(s) works better for temp control with the W deck or the B deck. I noticed some people said the less wick the better, so I was wondering if the W deck might be better for this purpose. (I'm using titanium grade 1 coils, and ceramic readyXwick to wick.) Any advice on what people have found works best for TC? Thanks.

Guys I'm using the squape with the W deck, but after 2-3 hits I get a dry hit (or a semi-dry hit, if I can call hit that). I've tried everything since fluffy cotton to rayon. After this, I ordered a the b-deck.

In youtube, the guys who made the videos about the b-deck put a lot (i mean, a lot really) of cotton in there. How much cotton do you put in yours b-deck?

I can't speak to the b-deck, still working thru that one but for the W-deck I never, ever get a dry hit (authentic and clone) by wicking like this shows:

Trim the wick flush with the deck... no wick down the channels.
