Official Squape R[eloaded] thread!

I run Smurf through my Squape and I think it's 80 VG with no problems. It's one of the only atty's I have that can handle such thick juice. I was a little surprised it handled it so well.

Are you packing cotton down inside the channel? I wick mine exactly the same way as the first couple pages of this thread says to. Make it like a fluffy bowtie. It seems to really work for me.

I think it was @Phone Guy who said he tried it that way several days ago and he was pleasantly surprised that it worked for him. It could have been someone else, I'm just having a hard time clearing the cobwebs out of my head this morning.

How Long have you had your Squape?

I've re-read the Stattqualm notes and I think you hit it on the head...do not pack you cotton too tight, fluffy!

I've had it probably 6 months, maybe longer...but I have soooo many attys and I really wanted the new decks so it kind of sat idle for a bit...(I have two one is a bit older maybe 8 months)

I'm going to look over this thread some more...but I think the key is not packing the cotton too tight in the B deck well.

Yeah I am guilty of using RXW a lot in many builds, and with the B deck it should work better than it is, and I think the issue is I packed the cotton too tight in the deck well....I was actually about to repack it and decided to check the thread again....

I already have it ready to re-pack...

I like the RXW because you cannot burn it, and it has virtually no taste (none I can taste anyway)...it's fricken indestructible stuff!

Rikk you're essentially correct, take a look at the factory pics of the new decks builds, on the B they kind of lay the wick into the well...



See the B desk has those two U shaped cut outs lined up with the wick, but the primary feed are the 4 holes in the base of deck..

I haven't built the D deck yet but it should wick awesome the way they cut the deck!

Looks a lot like the way I wicked mine, other than the coil is a lot closer to the air hole than mine was. Much closer. It looks like the top of the coil is almost level with the top of the post screws. At least that's the way it looks to me. I hadn't seen these photos before. Thanks!

My third B deck build still leaks on an intermittent basis out of the bloody air holes. Based on your pic, I'm using WAY WAY to much KGD which is VERY surprising since I've been building the W deck for about 6 months with near perfect performance. Stuffed to the gills with KGD, all fluffy and very fluffy. A bow tie thing of beauty. Looks like it's NI200 unless they run Kanthal over 2 OHMS. /lol

Respectfully, in the back of my alleged mind I keep asking myself: SELF: I see pics and vids BUT did they really run 2 or 3 tanks through the beast to see if the build is still solid? I mean, this thread obviously has a lot of very very experienced "cult" members who are very helpful and yet this B deck is proving to be just as finiky for some as the W deck and in some cases more of a royal PIA! /lol

I'm not ready to surrender YET.

I signed up for the Stattqualm news letter on their site in Switzerland (which comes in English and German) and they sent those pics as attachments, of course showing off the new decks.

I actually got the email with the news about the new decks about 30 days before they were released here or in Europe!

Right now the best prices on German, Swiss, Austrian stuff is from Intaste.de, the site has an English version and right now the Euro is way down, it's 1.08 Euro to $1.00 US.

If you buy anything from a EU site, you can subtract 15% from the displayed price to figure what you'll actually be charged (which you don't usually see until check out), their VAT tax we don't pay

I ordered my decks and some seal kits, some Kayfun odds and ends on Friday, and they were delivered Monday!

Yes, it was me. The difference difference I saw in the W deck just from fluffing the cotton was dramatic. I don't have the B deck so I can't comment on that one.

Like you, sometimes it's better to just walk away and in a few days when the mood strikes me I'm going to try a build on the B Monster exactly like the mother ship sent It geek I've got plenty of other "family members" to rewick and build for. They can be a demanding bunch but the KF and Drippers are easy peasy. Maybe I'm spoiled.

Which member of this thread has a B deck build that's solid and does not leak which you have vaped at least 2 or 3 tanks through?? Don't be bashful. /lol Maybe I missed their post but lets see the pics and description PLEASE.

Well I don't know if I count as I'm on my fifth tank with the B deck, I have never had any leaks! I had dry hits after like the first 5 unless I let it sit a bit and that was due to me over packing the cotton, which is solved, but no leaks...

Where are your leaks occurring?

I know from experience with the Squape R the deck "O" ring is probably the weakest seal imaginable for where it's at, being so thin.

I've done it for around 15-20min and no leaks, I'm going to try and keep it on its side all day and see what happens. It's hard as its instinct not to do that. lol

Thanks all for the help. Encouraging. Yesterday it was an intermittent leak out of the air hole while vaping. Yea, I tried different sizes but no dice. Of course if I fire my P3 with the air hole pointing up so to speak it's fine but why bother. I suppose I could fiddle with the 510 pin on the Beast so it sits up when screwed into the P3 but that's a last resort. The B deck beast sat overnight and I just checked. Know it's leaking out of the base on the atty around the 510. YIKES! No leaks overnight through the air hole but it was vertical on my stand.

I just stripped it all the way down and removed all the orings and will replace except the glass window insert in the tube. I even removed the famous 510 pin. Gonna clean and pray to the gods. /LOL

I've had more what you might call weapage....very minor when Iit did this...I mean like wipe it off with your finger...no biggie.

Only when I had laid it on its side...
