It'll work. I've mounted Claptons on my W deck! (for the fun of it) Though I have noticed that the Squape likes to be above 1 ohm, 0.8ohms was the lowest I could get it to work right on a mech. I generally stay around 1.3ohms at 22watts using 26ga around 2.7mm bit.
Beep!!! How did u put claptons on the W? 1mm diameter or something? I want try it but no idea what diameter it can take. Currently to twisted St 3mm.

Managed to do dual claptons on the D deck. 3mm 6 wraps for 0.47ohms. Stuck it on the istick 100w at 42w. It's nice but the vape very intense, like it and will get use to it.

I haven't run anything but Ni200 on mine since I got it last November & it's really the only atty I've used since then.
I agree the pin is a pain but I've learned to deal with it by looking at it as if it allows an adjustable resistance. I know 8 wraps of .30mm (28/29 gauge) Ni200 should be around 0.13. Pin out further will get a lower reading, in in 1/2-1/4 turns might increase it in 0.01 ohm increments. It can be annoying for sure but it's what I've grown accustomed to. I just use the tip of my fingernail to adjust it which makes doing it a lot easier on the fly than when I originally had to use a screwdriver each time.

Has anybody with center pin issues that replaced it experience an improvement? It is annoying and I'm tempted to buy a new pin but part of me feels like it won't change anything.
I had my ohms jumping around and eventually stopping getting an ohm reading. New pin fixed it instantly. Also I now unscrew the 510 pin every so often and give the pin and opening a good cleane with some tissue.

Update. Tried plain Clapton dual coil on the D deck. Voltage is her and liquid is burning quicker but feel a single 3mm fused Clapton 4/5 wraps at 0.5ohms tastes a lot better to me and liquid lasts longer. Might not be as intense with a single coil but have a marquis RDA when I need an intense hit.

@javyn The B Deck definitely provides a juicier vape, especially with the full R. imo the W deck works much better with the Rs since the chimney bell doesn't go so far down the sides of the deck, freeing up juice flow to the wick. The B deck has the juice holes so far down on the deck the chimney on the full R doesn't affect it. Added bonus (!) The B deck really vapes down to the last drop of every tank - and there's enough saturation and wick that (so far) I've noticed the flavor change every time before it's too late.

For W deck wicking this is a fool-proof trimming method (just no tucking into vertical channels) that I've been using since I got my Squape and I've never had a problem.

Well, sorry for my ignorance. I had been using W, but B is much better, after I started using B, W stays in my drawer forever even since. However, I believe B could be even better, just don't know how. I have Rs by the way.

Oh, and wicking was perfect either W or B. Only the flavor seems not as good as my other atties, with B slightly better than W, I hope I can improve it since sqrs is so much better than others in terms of build/wicking simplicity, and gurgle-free...

Oh I agree, in either case the B deck gives a better vape vs. the W, especially if you want to get up over 20W+.

Sorry I cannot suggest builds with Ti wire, I have yet to try anything but Kanthal so far. My favorite right now is a single 26ga A1 contact coil around 2.7mm bit, anywhere from 9 to 12 wraps. Easy to build, great performance, never dry hits

this very much depends on the juice for me. I find the Squape has sometimes highlight flaws in juices. For instance, if the juice is too sweet in my dripper it's going to be unbearable in the Squape. If a juice tends to be dry it wont do well in my squape. If a juice is too heavy on one flavor or there is come flavor in the juice I do not like - in the squape that will probably be all I will taste. Flavor is always a step under my drippers but well balanced and really "smooth" juices are very satisfying. I also like to run complex flavor profile juices through my squape as (when they're good) the squape provides a variable kind of vape where subtle differences in the vape come out on each draw.

The juices that don't do well in the squape rarely (if ever) make it on my reorder list for my drippers either ...
